This thing is an overly large oblong block that makes it hard to handle and I have large hands. My wife with very small hands might as well be trying to lather up with a small brick in terms of ease of use.That said, it seems an excellent soap. I find it really cleans the skin of oils and crud. It can be a bit rough with the "exfoliating" stuff so be careful just where you use it lest you exfoliate yourself in place where you want foliage. ;)The scent is peculiar, there's an odd blend of oils that I do not think mix well in one's nostrils. The label lists activated charcoal but the ingredient list does not. There is "mica' listed though which is a mild abrasive and joint compound filler. (?) SO you can get clean and maybe spackle your more tasteless body bits.The box's text is hysterical. The grammar and odd word choices make me wonder just who wrote this.Useful as soap but might not be for everyone due to awkward bar size and pecuiiar scent. Oh and it's labelled as "gluten free" in case you planned on snacking on it I guess.

I almost don't even want to use it, as it looks so nice on the soap dish next to my sink.Of course I did end up using it and I am continuing to do so. My first impression was a little irritated due to the fact that it was delivered and left on my door step during peak temperature months where I live, this gave the soap the structural integrity of warm wax.That being said, even though I, the end user, received a very mildly disfigured bar of soap, I am very pleased.I decided that i'd keep it next to the bathroom sink, as this is where it would get the most use. It is perfect for hand-washing and lathers up very quickly. It leaves behind a nice subtle fragrance after washing and drying your hands, just a periodic testament to the soap's quality.I've never been one for gourmet soap products in the past, but I think I may pick up this fad and run with it. Great job to the maker, and I will be purchasing more once I somehow use up this giant beautiful block.

This review is for the Gobi Gold soap. This handmade bar is a good sized soap, & it looks like the brand offers a variety of different scents. I love that it's cruelty free & Palm oil free, & that bumped my original rating of 3 stars to 4. I think those 2 things are important for animals & our environment, & all cosmetic, soaps, shampoos need to be cruelty free & without palm oil. Unfortunately, I did not care for the Gobi Gold scent & couldn't get past taking it out of the package to use it. It is heavily scented, with a perfume type scent. Price, factoring in that it's delivered to your door, is in line with other homemade soaps that I've purchased. Overall rating- 4 Stars.

This soap has a fabulous perfume. The activated charcoal does leave a refreshed feeling on my hands after its use. I would recommend using a soap dish as some of the particles within the bar may naturally fall off leaving a residue. This would happen with any other type of flavored soap like this, however, and overall I'm impressed with the smell and clean feeling of the bar.

Our family uses only natural, hand-milled soaps without SLS or other harsh additives. This is a "clean" bar, with saponified oil as a base and essential oils as the scent. The color really is fantastic. Good for everyday, but a great soap to put out for a guest. Recommended.

I didn't detect a fragrance. Lathers well. It has sharp edges at first. I personally prefer it when soap has rounded edges, but this is personal preference.
