Why did you pick this product vs others?:WOW!! I am amazed the speed I have now in my back bedroom desktop. I was using a single plug in USB WIFI receiver for the past 5 years. While it still works, I ran across this 2 antenna type and read the reviews, and they were not lying. I was so frustrated with my wifi before and was looking around to change carrier, but perhaps my old antenna just wore out. This is instant now where as before, sometimes I could count to 5 before things would happen.Easy installation, I just plugged it in. I had a smaller WiFi dongle (with no external antenna) and was suffering complete dropouts in an area of the house that is farther from the WiFi router. The dongle was connected to a Raspberry Pi I use as a music streamer, and the software I use requires that any WiFi dongle use a RealTek chip. This device has a RealTek chip, and the reception is worlds better than the previous item. It's been connected for over a month, and I have noticed zero dropouts whatsoever. If you have an older WiFi dongle, or one without an external antenna, and need better WiFi reception, you should consider this model.

I ordered this because I never realized I already had one, but honestly the sturdiness and antenna give me more confidence about the connection. And surprisingly it never disconnects unlike the other one I had. The only fault I see is that if you have a tight area or a lot of connections with bulky accessories then it is going to be difficult to fit. I could give a bigger review but my computer stopped working and won’t turn on :(. So I didn’t have the chance to use it that much. (I can assure you the problem is not the antenna)

This product completely resolved my poor connection issues. I was only getting a "fair" signal, having difficulty watching videos and losing my connection constantly. I now have an "excellent" signal, videos stream perfectly and I'm no longer losing my connection.I ordered a six foot USB Extension Cable with mine. That allowed me to try the antennas in different positions and locations to find the best possible signal. I found that getting the antennas up above all of my equipment, including the monitor, allowed me to get the best possible signal.I highly reccomend this product if you're having poor signal issues!

Affordable and truly plug and play WiFi adapter, I literally just plugged it into the USB port and got high speed internet working instantly. Just keep in mind it might be a little bulky for some laptops if you have USB ports in one side and they are already occupied, but your can unplug the antennas and work around it to put them back which is what u did. Excellent device, but will update the review in future if anything arises.
