Useful if you want to fast charge large battery packs
Received brand new product. Its date stamp tells it is made in March of 2023.I mainly bought it to fast charge my 5Ah battery pack if I require to charge it quickly. However, it is better we use a normal charger for regular use to extend battery life.I already have DCB107 which came with Dewalt cordless drill. You can see that DCB118 is around twice the size of DBC107. DCB118 is a 8A charger while DCB107 is of 1.25A.

on first use you can smell the transformers getting baked but nothing to worry as this charger is intelligent and shuts off if either battery or charger overheats. i wish Dewalt can provide this as a kit like in other countries Makes the DIY hobby expensive in India but i saved a lot of money by fixing my own stuff so i think this still in acceptable stage
