Study Guide to accompany Managerial Economics & Business Strategy 8th Edition

You may be wondering whether you need a study guide for this class, and that depends on your professor. My professor recommended this guide as a supplement to the textbook, and I can't imagine having taken the class without it. The guide begins each chapter with a summary of important concepts in the chapter, including definitions and equations. You can use the summary to guide your reading, to review concepts before exams, and as crib notes while doing homework. The summary is then followed with concept questions that test your grasp of the chapter material, and then technical questions to practice using the formulas. A few true/false questions round out each chapter. The study guide was especially a lifesaver for chapter five, which involves calculus. The textbook end-of-chapter questions were poorly written and have no answers supplied, while the study guide questions are better written and answers are provided, along with explanations. By the time you finish the study guide, you should be ready for any exam the professor throws at you!The paper quality of this study guide is rather flimsy, with a soft cover and perforated pages that are intended to be removed and written on. The perforations make it easy to accidentally tear a page. This makes it difficult to keep the book in resale condition, so keep that in mind if you intend to trade-in your guide at the end of the semester.
