Using to cut espresso filter papers
I'm using it to cut filters for the bottom of my Delonghi espresso machine's portafilter basket since no one seems to make them. Top yes, bottom no. It's so I can reduce some of the cholesterol issues you get with metal filtered coffee. This way I know the paper is decent and it's more economical than buying yet another kind of coffee filter. The cutter itself works great, cutting through two layers of V60 filter paper at the same time with ease and once the knulled nut in the middle is cinched down it never changes. It's perfect for my needs. The plastic plate seemed fiddly, but the metal bar in the middle actually has accurate measurements engraved on it so you really don't need it. I love the little storage compartment for extra blades on the bottom and the extra they give you. It looks like it came from the 60's or 70's and that's fine, they got it right the first time. When it comes to using it. Don't press too hard on the outer ring, keep decent pressure on the middle, let the blade's sharpness do its job and you'll be golden. Don't expect it to cut much more than paper or thin plastic.

Fantastic tool (with minor learning curve)
I've used this wonderful little tool to cut everything from paper and cardstock to fabric and (thin) leather. It's AMAZING!! It cuts perfectly smooth, perfectly round circles everytime and is easy to adjust to the precise size i need. It did take some practice with scratch paper to get the motion down and to learn how to use the centering guide. But once you get the hang of it you won't know how you ever got by without it. Coming back to order a second one now for the office.

Ok but has a learning curve
Bought this because I needed to cut about 500 3-inch circles. This worked, but has a learning curve... First, the measurements are metric and the bar that slides to adjust for size was difficult to read. Second, figuring out how far the blade needed to be out to cut the paper but not drag the mat. This, learning the right way to hold it still while cutting. Fourth, securing the mat so it wouldn't move. Once I got it down, it worked fine, but the blade was easily knocked out of alignment resulting in torn cardstock or an inaccurate cut. After cutting about 150 circles, I ordered a 3-inch punch and finished with that. I think this will be fine for smaller jobs. It's definitely versatile.

Absolutely Perfect for making all sizes and especially for making circles smaller than an inch!
I have searched for several years trying to find a precision circle maker that will make perfect circles smaller than 25mm. I needed 24.19mm. This one arrived less than an hour ago and it's already set up to create PERFECT circles in the EXACT size I need to fit into a locket. The circles are perfect and the cutting process is very easy on the hands. The engineering is amazing. I can't believe it sells for this price considering the engineering that must have gone into it. I've already ordered lots of spare blades because, after reading other reviews, I know that using a perfectly sharp blade is mission-critical. A huge thank you to whoever invented this little gizmo! It's going to be one of my most treasured tools. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!BTW, I'm using photo paper, which is slightly lighter than card stock but the blade can be adjusted to any thickness. I'm not sure of the maximum but it might even go through cardboard or matboard, I haven't tried either of those yet.

Very smooth cutting
I like that it cuts smoothly through thin styrene. Doing concentric cuts took some trial and error. The instructions aren't very clear and the ruler is almost impossible to read. I had to get a magnifier and flashlight to set the radius. Once it was dialed in it worked beautifully.

Once the depth is set…
I have used this product to cut paper, card stock, and leather. Once I was able to dial in the correct depth for each item, it was great. I made sure to use a little sacrificial material under what was being cut.
