Very happy with my Pure Base 500DX White
Purchased recently this Pure Base 500DX White for a new white build. Case is very well made and feels sturdy, it comes with fans preinstalled but I replaced some with aRGB fans that I had from before. Case is looking absolutely stunning and does provide for good wire management. With white Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 inside and full ATX board there is not much space left on top, bottom is more than enough to fit RTX4070.

Excellent modern case, quiet without compromising airflow
I decided on this case after looking at various reviews, I didn't want a full size atx case, this had space for ssds, and a couple hdds if I wanted. I used an Asus x570 strix e, noctua nh d15 cooler, nvidia rtx 3080 founders edition, a couple nvme ssds. As this is a mid atx case there isn't much room to route cables, I made the amateur error of mounting the massive cooler before attaching all the cables, if you have really stiff power cables then it's incredibly difficult to bend and route the cables to connect to the motherboard. The ssd had to be removed so I could route the 24 pin atx cable, plus I removed the hdd caddy so I could route the pcie power cables to the gpu.The case came with the corner of the tempered glass chipped, bequiet sent me a replacement no problem over Christmas which is excellent service. The case is very quiet, there is sufficient cooling, the exhaust air is pretty warm but the cpu and gpu temperatures are well below the maximum. I get 60 for the cpu and up to 75 for the gpu whilst gaming. The cooler fitted fine and it's possible to fit the second fan which must be raised to clear the memory, but it gets really close to the glass panel so for aesthetic reasons I didn't use it. Overall I'm very happy with the build quality, it's quiet, the rgb is very tasteful, customer service is excellent. It can be a bit tricky to build but better than any itx case. Highly recommended

Lives up to its makers name!
Bought this case to replace my old case (Fractal design focus g), the component transplant from one case to the other revealed a lot of amazing features in the be quiet! case, such as the removable front panel, removable drive cages, excellent cable management features and last but not least - flexible fan placement. The case recently passed the ultimate test: ridiculously high temperatures in britain, in a small room - while running 3D applications (without a moment of throttling). In my case I've set 2 of the "be quiet" fans attached to front panel, one on the back exhaust and two 140mm "upHere" fans for top exhaust. For CPU cooling I'm using the "be quiet!" Dark Rock Pro 4.At full tilt, all of the combined fan noise is a low humm and is not really audible (I'm comparing to my friends AIO watercooler which sounds like a plane taking off). The loudest part of my PC is now the graphics card; which in my situation is the also sole propogator of heat. All in all - fantastic case; keeps my gear cool (3900x, 32gb, 1070 mini).A note for those considering this case:Your main hot spots in this case will be the back of the case - at the top. Ensure your rear exhaust and rear top-of-the-case fans are capable of high airflow. The top-of-the-case front fan can run at lower RPM to not exhaust cool air before it reaches your CPU cooler (if you happen to use one).

At this price range, this case is king.
Updating my review as I've now finished the build.Aesthetics: 5 stars. This is subjective but this case hits all the right spots for me. The RGB strip at the front and inside the case give it a menacing look but not tacky like the majority of hardware labelled "gaming".Airflow: 4.5 stars. Mesh at the front, bottom, and top, plus exhaust grid at the back, so plenty of air. The fans that come with the case are super queit too.Space: 4 stars. For normal setups, i.e. one 360mm/280mm radiator this case has plenty of space, especially at the front, but the top is limited to 240mm radiators, which is not ideal for noise conscious users like myself, since everything else being equal, the 140mm fans on a 280mm rad. will be queiter than the 120mm ones on a 240mm rad.My setup has dual rads, and the 240mm at the top for the CPU might have clearance issues with VRM heatsinks and Ram sticks, if the sticks are tall. Eyeballing my build, there's probably like 1cm from ram sticks to radiator fans, VRM heatsinks roughly 3.5 cm.

Great case, great quality, good value and looks
I've been searching a lot for a new case for my upgrade and settled for 500dx as it ticket a few boxes, mainly specific measurements to fit my desk, airflow, build quality and 360mm front AIO.It has been a pleasure to build my PC in this case. It comes with a 3 x 140mm Silent Wings 2 (3 pin) fans which I've swapped out for Noctua. Good fans that come with the case, good addition. My build:10700kz490 TomahawkArctic Liquid Freezer II 3603080FEOverclocking my CPU to 5.0Ghz and considering I have 3 fans as exhaust and 3 as intake, quite muggy in the UK as ambient temperature, I get 66C for CPU and 66C for my GPU.Only downside is the hard drive cage where in order to fit my AIO (Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 is very thick) I had to move outside the movement range allowed. You wouldn't have any issues if you use 2 x 120/140 as front fans. If you chose a 360mm AIO in the front, make sure you take the measurements of your PSU, radiator and see how much space for cabling you have.Overall I'm extremely happy with this case and definitely recommend it.

Fantastic first case
The case is easy to get your motherboard and stuff installed but if you mount an AIO on the front panel you can't mount a 2nd fan up the top. A good fix would to push the top of the case up into a kind of compartment if you put a AIO with the tubing at the top of the case. Rgb is brilliant, I prefer more subtle lighting so it's great for people that like less flashy lighting. The fans in the case are a little slower 900rpm but that's cause its made to be quiet. Over all great case tho
