Camera in very poor condition
I would not recommend buying from this seller. The camera came in very bad condition with a lens that didn’t shut and the battery not charging I had to buy 2 new batteries and a manually charger them thinking that would solve the problems I was wrong it didn’t stop there the SIM card slot won’t recognise any SIM card that’s needed for it so I have lodged a return

Number one camera
I've had a DSC-950 for 2 years. this is one of the best cameras that I ever had. Everything about the camera is a plus. I had my first DSC-950 camera stolen at my Mothers funeral with a lot of pictures of my Mother and family. I looked at other cameras but for this style, the DSC-950 was the best. So I ordered another DSC-950. I am glad I found one because I guess they do not make the DSC-950 anymore. I Hope the person that took the camera enjoy it as I did.Randy Spaulding1614 Anchor Dr. E.Columbus, Ohio 43207

Happy with the product
Small and easy to carry. Picture quality good. The only problem is that the display on the screen is very dark(i guess i need to adjust the settings) but when transferred to laptop the pictures come out very nicely.PIctures at night also very good and clear.Video is of good quality. I was able to capture fireworks at night through video.Zoom is not that high but its ok for personal use.

Would Not Charge or Activate
After receiving this product I went to hook it to its USB charger. The first time, there was no indicator that it was charging and when I unplugged it, it wouldn't turn on. I then tried to hook it up to other locations as well, and got the same result.

good camera for the money
so many people on here blast things for being cheap--guess what? If you buy the $150 Sony camera instead of the $350 one expect it to be $200 less effective. It is a fabulous camera for the money--I have had numerous photos published with it--and its predecessor--you have to accept limitations--it isn't made for night/low light or for long range work--other than that, it WILL be fine for you if you just like to have a camera handy, but don't want to spend more money. If you DO want more, go up the price line and you will find what you are looking for.

Sony Has Some Issues Here
I purchased this Camera with the delusion that if you pay a decent price for a Sony product you could be assured that the quality of the product will be above average. Well, with the Cyber-Shot DSC-S950 you do not get what you paid for. For starters, you need a Sony only memory card, battery, and USB cables. They have adjusted the size of these items to only fit into thier cameras. So... any previous memory cards, batteries or cables are now obsolete and you have to buy the Sony Brand. The picture quality is very dark and at times very out of focus. Unless you have the perfect lighting you will end up with subpar pics. It also does not let you zoom during video mode and the audio is barely there. When you want to look back at pics it takes a second to focus every time for each pic which makes it very annoying when you want to scan through your photos. My previous camera was about $50 less exspensive and was a much better product. Pass on this one at all costs....
