Good value for the price.
This is a very nice set of stitching punches. They are great for light leather. I have been using them on wallets made of 2 oz veg-tan leather and they work great. You of course need a backer board to punch on and a good mallet to strike them. The are sharp and hole up well. I am happy with them.

Very good for the price.
I have bought this brand of chisels before and have not had any problems with them. they seem to be sturdy and punch through 8-9 oz ok..

Works well
I bought these when I needed to make some leather covers. I originally had ordered the 4mm spacing, but soon realized that I needed a bit more separation for the stitching on other projects I was working on so I ordered the 5mm set as well. After several projects, I have yet to experience any issues with these lacing chisels. They have remained sharp and have stood the beating on my hammer while using them. They are hard enough and have withstood the abuse extremely well. Even though I use a metal hammer, they have yet to experience any metal displacement on the head of the chisel and have remained sharp. For the price and quality, these can't be beat. Excellent brand and quality. Should I need larger chisels, you can bet that I will buy this brand again. Well made (durability, finish, sharpness, size, ease of use, etc., etc.) and an excellent value for your money.

Quality product for the price!
I’ve used these in a few different sizes for the past couple years. I’ve always been very impressed with what you get for the price. The diamond chisel is clean and uniform, and they come super sharp. For someone getting into leather working this is a great buy!I’d recommend getting the 3mm, 4mm, and even 5mm for the price to play around with and see what works best for your work. They are not heavy duty and will eventually need replacing, but they do the job and are lightweight, easy to use, and very affordable. For the beginning and intermediate leather enthusiasts I would definitely recommend these!

Teeth are a little larger than I would prefer.
Well made but the teeth on 4, 5, and 6mm tools are wider (hole is longer) than I would prefer but I can easily make them smaller.

Surprisingly good quality punches
I’ve been a leatherworker for over 25 years and I’ve done lots of work with diamond stitching punches. For years, I’ve used a set of Craftool Pro punches from Tandy Leather. They have definitely held up, but they aren’t the most refined punches for finer work. If you can’t afford - or don’t want to spend the cash - on the high end professional punches, there are few other options out there. These punches are very similar in style to those offered by Weaver Leather Supply, but they are actually nicer quality. What I was surprised about when I opened the package is how solidly made these punches feel. They are definitely beefier than the Weaver punches of the same style. The prongs on these punches also appear to be machined more consistently and they arrived sharp and polished. I wasn’t expecting that from punches at this price point. I can’t speak to their long-term durability at this point, but I am as confident in these as I am the punches from Weaver. The handles on these punches are a bit crudely machined and they aren’t consistent in size. Not a dealbreaker at all, but a bit of a surprise considering how nice the prongs are prepared. The sharp corners of the handles have been rounded off as well, which is a nice touch. The punch size is clearly marked on each punch. Most importantly, they perform very well. I tried them out on a single layer of 9 ounce veg tan saddle leather and I was very pleased at how smoothly they penetrated the leather and how easily they could be removed. The holes between punches appear to be consistent in size and spacing and the angle is right for hand-stitching.Overall, assuming they hold up with use, these punches are a great value.

They are okay to start with on a budget
These are nice for being affordable. The finish between the tines is not polished, but not so rough it damages the leather like other cheaper stitching chisels. For a tool that will be used all the time, my suggestion is to spend the money up front for the quality ones instead of spending more money by buying with the intention to upgrade later. However, if you are in a position like mine where you need a stitching chisel on a budget and have reasons to not wait to save, this is the one. If you are doing maybe one or two projects, these would also be good for that.I was able to polish the tines for mine so it works very well now. Although it required less polishing, it still needs it if you plan to use it a lot before upgrading. The metal is soft and I suspect it would bend easily. It also doesn't hold the sharpness of the edges (the purpose of the diamond shape) and point as well.Overall I would buy more sizes from Aiskaer if I am still under budget when I need another size. However, for a critical tool like these. I would prefer to buy quality and skip the upgrade path since I will be in this craft for a very long time. If you must buy as cheap as you can, this is about the best before going into the tools that need serious finishing before being usable. I'm happy with these stitching chisels in the context of my situation, but not going to lie, don't have high expectations.
