This is a little pricey for what it is, and I'm glad I got over it. The pieces in this set are nearly the quality of LEGO even though they aren't LEGO. The construction is easy and the resulting base is stable. I LOVE how this displays the set upright, the way we're all use to seeing it. Even though the set towers 3' above it, it seems relatively stable. If you bump it in any way, however, it's going to fall, but then again it would do the same no matter how it's displayed. Do like me -- get over the price and order it. You'll be glad you did!

I was skeptical at first (not thinking such a small base would support the three foot rocket), but it does and has held up well.

Works well. Easy to assemble. However, the base is pretty small compared to the height of this model Therefore, in the event of an earthquake or minor shaking (like bumping a table, etc) I could easily see it tipping over.

Perfect for the Lego Saturn V rocket that I now have on my desk. This is a great alternative if you don't have the room to display with the horizontal stands that come with the rocket. Nice and sturdy and looks nice too. Overall worth it and recommended.

I was a little concerned that the model might tip over before I ordered it, but after getting it and putting it together I'm very pleased. The stand was very easy to assemble and took only a few minutes. The Saturn V model sits nicely in the base and is very steady. If you're looking to put this on a shelf that a young kid could possibly reach, you may want to rethink that. But for my office it works perfectly.

The item that I ordered came with instructions in the box. The stand looks good so you can see the Saturn V engines through the clear tubes at the base of the stand. The clear tubes are 3 sided and didn't have a scratch on any of them, other people made comments that their clear tubes were scratched and they sent it back for a refund or a new one.I added some extra pieces from a previous stand and it looks good. Wish I could add something to make the model look like the engines are igniting, but not sure how. This item is a little pricey for the simplicity that it is.

I had been displaying my LEGO NASA Apollo Saturn V in a horizontal position because I thought it might tip over. The boosters never seemed sufficient, for me, to support it in an upright position without the fear of having it topple over. This base/stand works perfectly and stabilizes the rocket when upright. Paper instructions came with the stand. Although this is not an official Lego product it works well with this set.
