Kuhn RikonAllround Oven-Safe Induction Uncoated Frying Pan, 28 cm, Stainless Steel, Silver

I first encountered Kuhn Rikon cookware in Germany & was impressed with its overall quality & ease of use. So it was nice to spot this large 32 cms diameter frying pan at a discounted price on Amazon UK. PFOA is a health-damaging toxic chemical that really should be 100% universally banned & Kuhn Rikon use a titanium-enriched non-PFOA coating for this very reason. The pan is proving very durable, understandably because the pan's construct is of a high quality stainless steel (not cheap aluminium) & offers a very flat, heavy bottom, almost guaranteeing no hot spots on the cooking surface. Cooking is easy - delicate fillet steaks fried perfectly - & because the pan holds a greater residual heat in the base it would suit all & varied cooking demands placed upon it, including even the higher demands of professional chefs. It's not a cheap pan at all, but it's one I wholeheartedly recommend.However I do note the negative 1* reviews about this pan - rest assured, if there is premature or abnormal deterioration (especially the non-stick coating) I will update this review accordingly.

Good pan. Proper manufacturing quality. Handle doesn't heat up much. Seems resilient so far. Did steaks on it for last few months and dont see any burned in parts or rust spots.

Fantastic quality stainless steel and healthier than non stick pans. Washes up well and perfect heat distribution. Slightly heavy but no more than other top quality pans. This saud it is still easy enough to use and better value for money than some of the other brands of a similar quality. A*

Bought this pan to replace my non stick pan. It is really well made and sturdy. It gets really hot even on a low heat. It cooks food evenly, just add a little oil to stop food sticking. It's easy to clean, wash right after use to prevent staining. It only has a 2 year guarantee but it looks like it could last a life time

Having moved to a property with an induction hob we had to buy a new frying pan. One the premise of buy once, cry once we splashed out on a Kuhn Rikon version and we're very disappointed.The non-stick coating is starting to degrade after less than ten months of use. You could put this down to incorrect maintenance but we've been pretty much by the book here.More fundamentally the frying pan itself has developed a convex cooking surface, with oil pooling around a raised centre.Overall we're really disappointed and won't buy or recommend this brand again.
