Works as advertised. Saves me A LOT of problems with my pond filter.I made a biological filter for my pond out of a 55 gallon plastic drum. The filter sits remotely from the pond and is at a higher elevation.The problem with my design is that when the power goes out the filter would flow back into the pond. The filter is full of K1 plastic media. The media would clog my pump. So, when the power came back on, the pump would not function.I can tell you that getting all of that plastic filter media out of the 1.5" pipe and the pump was A LOT of work.I tried a less expensive check valve, and it failed to do it's job.THIS valve works. It works perfectly.I am very happy knowing that with this valve my pond filter system will be protected.

I wish I installed sooner. I bought mine 18months ago but after redoing a dual pump setup with a Radon mitigation lid, I was in no hurry to dig that all apart to get at one check valve under that lid. But after 10's of thousands of cycles with a regular check valve on the primary pump finally worked its way loose from hammering away with seasonal heavy rains, I updated both 1.5 and 2" pipes. Easy to install and super duper quiet!!! Omigosh, we can sleep at night with no one thumping on the walls of the basement. My 1.5" is on a Halo system that is essentially my cycle counter with the larger emergency backup on a 1hp 2" pipe. Nice to see the action of each unit. Only thing I wish they had was a magnetic catch that could help manually open the flap for extra peace of mind come brutal Wisc winters to avoid freezing any water that might still be near the wall or exit area. Mine typically run early spring and wet summers and sump is basically bone dry come winter especially with the Radon fan - which also increases the flow of water due to the immense suction generated. I cut an access window in mine to be able to inspect and reach an arm in for emergency maint work on sensors, etc..

The rubber pipe couplings made this easy to install. I had put it in because sounds after my sump pump shut off led me to think the old check valve was leaking water back into the well. However, I could see that this valve was sealing properly, but air was being drawn up through my well due to the sump outlet pipe acting like a siphon. A change in the outlet pipe arrangement solve my problem. Maybe I should have been able to figure it out without replacing the old check valve, but this one made it clear (heh!) what was going on.

This check valve truly is quiet. I used to get a really loud thud from the previous check valve and now I barely know when the sump pump kicks on.

I used it on my sump pump. It works good but it’s not all that silent.

Works as expected. Silent valve that barely makes any noise when closing.

Finally no clunky noise! So happy I found this. It is ultra silent. The one they put in my new construction was so loud that no one could sleep in guest bedroom from the clunky noise. Get this ultra-silent valve. You won’t regret it. All check valves should be required to be this silent.
