I am finding mouse poop on top of the trap .. are they mocking me?

They wont die inside. They eat the food and u smell them in the walls. Unfortunately, when you have rodents, u deal with them one way or another. Traps are hard because they hate how humans smell. Once ur scent is on a trap, the first mouse will dodge it, and the others always follow the path the first set (they dribble pee as they go to mark safe spots), if one missed it, the rest know so that spot is basically ruined forever!!!!! If u wear gloves when set traps, turns out they are otherwise blind and dumb as rocks. They following paths is what makes them seem smart! My friends house had one fly over the same step everyday at 3pm. My god kids called it scheds.... For schedule. Its because the first one stupidly fell off that step so the rest fly over it because they know "someone didnt want to step there" and phew, like clockwork. I had to learn why are they so intelligent. After i learned to wear gloves, i can set empty traps and within an hour..... SNAP. bought these for any left over. My house went from zero to six in one day as summer started. Went 25 years here and maybe had one or two. After the traps all worked, i got these... We live in Philly row homes so i hear them in walls so thats not possible to irraticate but they dont have to move in. I dont like surprises

Is this the mouse killer ii? what's the diff between the ones that are labelled with "mouse killer ii" and the ones that are not like the product pic.

No pet can get to it, OK.  But, the pet/animal that eats the mouse will die a horrible death.  There is no antidote for this neurotoxin.  Our dog could not be saved.

How long does it take for a mouse to die after eating the bait

I've used these for years now and am still pleased with the fact that I no longer see mice in my basement. If they do enter my basement, they eat a little of the bait in the Tomcat and immediately exit to find water. No dead mice inside. Not sure how long it takes for them to die from a bite of bait, but I do know that I don't find them inside.

What would happen if a cat or some other animal eats the rodent after they eat the pellet?
