My 6 year old Dell Inspirion 5579 2-in-1 sees very little use as it's my personal laptop as opposed to my work laptop. Having been mostly left plugged in, the battery was failing and I was receiving on screen warnings.Watched a Youtube video and realised how easy the replacement operation was. Ordered this item as it had good reviews - it was delivered the next day.The battery is identical to the Dell original, the swap over was smooth and seamless in no more than 10 minutes.No problem firing the laptop up.It took a full charge, and though I have not tried running it down in one go, but over the past few weeks, the performance appears as good as when the laptop was new.Recommended.

The battery works well for my Dell XPS 13 9370. It holds a charge well so far (only used it for two cycles).My only gripe is that the top screw hole (labelled M1.6x4) was too big for the screw from my original battery, but the battery still fits well inside the machine.

On first glance the battery seems almost identical to the OEM Dell battery but upon installation it's clear that the tolerances are just awful. The screw holes don't line up and once the case was back on it became clear that the front of the battery is significantly thicker than the OEM one.Once the back was on there was so much pressure on the track pad that the click buttons were jammed on meaning that you couldn't click as the left mouse was constantly on (and hence you can't use the laptop).I reopened and tried to readjust it but it's literally just too big for the laptop. Maybe it was just the one that I had but arguably that's worse as it just means that's huge variations between each battery indicating poor consistency in their manufacturing which is alarming in itself.Maybe be yours will fit but be aware you're rolling the dice if it will fit. Far cheaper than OEM but you get what you pay for...
