PLEASE do not waste your money on this garbage. The meal plans are NOT KETO and the insanely low protein content (the book recommends ~49g for women!) is dangerous!The meal plans for most days are ~40g of carbs. A true keto diet is less than 20g a day.More importantly, I plugged the recipes into CarbManager and the nutritional content is ALL WRONG. A salad that supposedly has 7g of carbs per serving is actually closer to 30. Most of the recipes are inaccurate.Who wrote this trash? No wonder it's only available from private sellers.What this book is advocating is NOT KETO and is incredibly dangerous. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID.

You will be in ketosis... Despite what other reviews say.
Very happy with this book and I'm not new to keto either, I've done it for many years.. this is different to my old keto principles that is true, what isn't true is that you won't reach ketosis - you will.The calories are low so you can eat a little more carbs (still low just not the very very low I used to do). The keto sticks will reassure you it works.Bottom line is I found the traditional keto hard to do long term and this is better for my lifestyle. Its 12 weeks of low carb low calorie to lose up to 4.6lb a week (800kcal). Followed by slight relaxing of the rules which I personally appreciate. Its still low carb but means unlike the keto of old I used to do i won't be vegetable and fruit deprived. I just don't feel that lifestyle is good long term (and neither does Michael). It was great to drop weight but not to live on and this book follows that idea. You'll end up on a Mediterranean style diet at goal and that's been proven to be excellent for health.The bad reviews from strict keto fans are unfair. This is an alternative that still allows the body to enter ketosis and drop weight fast.Also the recipes are great - and many are less than 10g carbs. Pictured is Tandoori chicken kebab.(I for one enjoyed the Black bean chilli with 16g of carbs as one of my two meals that day and I stayed in ketosis (see attached pic of my Ketostix). Win. 😊)Another update - I've just done my first full week. I have lost a whopping 11lb. After the initial big loss I'm losing 1lb a day. My husband has lost a little bit more. We are thrilled and excited to continue. 😊

Use your magnifying glass
Unlike all other books I have on Ipad or Iphone Kindle app, or PC kindle app, there is no ability to increase text size, which pretty much renders the books unreadable.This means I have to use a magnifying glass and write the recipe out in long hand.This is terribly inconvenient and renders the books pretty much unusable.

Simple but very effective
My phone is littered with apps - some former subscriptions, some not; none of which were particularly effective. I have lost a stone in 2.5 weeks without particular effort. A stone was all I was aiming to lose, and so to say I'm pleased is an understatement. The book is simply written, but costs less than one month's subscription to an app I used this time last year, with little result and even less enjoyment. When cooking the recipes you realise that you can modify and adapt - there's no need to "shop the book" - it'll cost a fortune, and you'll waste stuff (unless you're cooking the meals for more people each time). Some portions can make the heart sink, but bulked with green veg cooked in interesting ways, are less of a problem. It's a healthy and sustainable version of the Atkins diet that I tried years ago - the last time I lost weight impressively; combining two effective weight loss approaches: Keto, and calorie restriction. The keto prevents hunger - amazingly. I used to totter through 5:2. longing for non-fast days, and probably over-compensating. Not on this plan. And if bread is your weak spot, I totally recommend the seriously low carb company; whose bread is such a great substitute for the real thing. No, I do not work for the company, and no I have not been sent a trial product for saying something nice.Overall, to see such a difference, safely achieved, in such a short space of time has been fantastic. I recommend you read the book and give it a go. (And no, I'm not a relation..)
