Totally worth the money.
I am only giving these 5 stars because I cannot give them 6 stars. Hey, I'm joking about what people sometimes write about 1 star. Seriously, I don't think I'd give them 5 stars if they were in a contest beside other sharpeners, but for the PRICE, they are five star. The coarseness MAY not be perfectly graded, and they MAY not be perfectly flat (although neither issue jumped out at me) I am very happy. I am going to purchase again for gifts.I guess, don't get these if you literally want beyond scalpel sharpness or if you want to sharpen a maul/ax or something, but for the average person who wants to sharpen knives, these are beyond adequate. And I basically use them as needed and put them away when done. I don't mount them to the table or such.If I had a complaint, I think all the textures/gradients are overkill. I would rather have two thicker stones -- coarse and fine-- than all the steps and grades of stones provided. I have never known anyone to start on coarse and work their way up thru the steps from coarse to fine. Yeah, either make 2 of them thicker, or sell two of them at a cheaper price----- But I'm just splitting hairs here. (Rimshot)

Great value
These seem to be of reasonable quality, and the price is pretty unbeatable. They're very light, so they need to be secured to something solid for stability, but I've found that double-sided tape works well for that.

Good enough but with some real irritant that spoils the value proposition.
I had compared this with 'S SATC' double sided as well as the Sharpal. This turned out to be #2 in that ranking. Ultimately kept the Sharpal (as a gift to someone) and returned the rest.Compared to the Sharpal, there was minimal to no grit contamination on the fine side. This makes sense since these seem to be two plates manufactured separately and stuck together. The Sharpal and 'S SATC' are solid steel slabs with diamonds on both sides. This one has thin plates stuck on either side of a light plasticky base. Does not feel solid at all but could be adequate. I have some experience with these thin plated diamonds (chefknivestogo's 140 grit 1x6 stones) and if this is from a similar source, they should last a good long time. You pay way less than the Sharpal but you lose the solid case (which doubles as stone holder), the excellent non-slip surface, the built-in holder for the angle guide and a thick machined plate.Ultimately though, I think they cheaped out a bit too much on the usability. There are 4 small (1/2"x1/2") non-slip squares which simply do not do the job of holding it in place. You'll have to use a larger non-slip mat under this or a separate stone holder. As an item to gift a sharpening enthusiast, I chose the Sharpal.I hope the next revision finds a place for the angle-guide and adds a more effective non-slip surface under. With those two fixed, this would be a value contender as it will be functionally 100%. Without them, I suspect the irritation in every use would make the Sharpal a better value overall. If you already have an adjustable stone holder or a good non-slip mat, this may work out well given the price.

Useful, good deal.
Very handy, and a good range of grits. I've used them to restore some antiques, when I didn't want to use power tools.

Great sharpening tool!
The course side removes material fairly quickly which is nice for really dull blades. Using all three sides I was impressed how nice and sharp the knife edges were when completed.

Arrive rusted but great
These arrive rusted and appeared used besides the 400.Eventhough they arrived rusted ive had no issues. I use medical tape folded in on itself and there are no issues with the plate sliding around. My plates also arrived flat and there are no clear warps or any issues.I use this on pocket knives and kitchen knives the hardest ive used is 14C28N and it worked through it in mere moments. My only gripe is the waffle pattern. When working a small thin curved edge like a pocket knife I commonly got snagged by the dips but I'm sure that can be helped with proper technique.Side note: in the photo besides the 400 grit the plates all had speckles of rust with visible buildup around the edge like the mat of the one above was slightly wet.

Do not use a lot of pressure. They work great without it
Love them They are great.Products that leave a good edge and scratch pattern on your knife. I really appreciate the affordability. The longevity isn't what you would expect. But in all honesty for the price, I'll just buy some every time I get a little extra money.
