The media could not be loaded.  Currently at £55 this set of whisky stones, decanter and glasses will make a great gift coming in a really well presented box. You just have to be aware that this is not lead crystal nor cut glass to the best of my knowledge. The quality is fine and will be happily received by most, but if you have a proper whisky snob that you are buying for as a gift they may possibly think the quality is not quite what they are used to if they usually drink out of cut crystal.Look quality glass ware is not cheap and you are defiantly getting your moneys worth here, but it is worth mentioning that it is neither the crystal nor cut glass as I was half expecting it to be until I re-read the product listing after it arrived and realised that it does not mention either in the blurb at all.Anyway I have done a video of the set so you can get a better look and make your own mind up, I hope you find it helpful!A nice set non the less and as it's well priced and not saying it's anything it is not, so I cannot knock off a star, it's just something to be aware of.

The media could not be loaded.  Wow, this decanter and glasses set really does scream quality!From the moment you lift open the box, the weight and the sturdiness entices you in as you know that inside is something of real quality.Upon opening the box, I wasn't disappointed.Inside the black and gold box lay the most exquisite diamond cut decanter with matching stopper and 4 whiskey glasses.6 different types of actual granite have been used to create an intriguing set of perfectly round whiskey stones. And a nice wooden holder is included which allows you to place the stones in the freezer to chill down nicely.

This is an absolutely stunning whiskey decanter and glass set inside the box. The outside of the box just says 'Whiskey Chilling Stones' - no mention of the decanter and 4 glasses which to me are the star of the package with the addition of the stones so it really is quite confusing and cheapens the set somewhat.Inside the box however is beautifully patterned and holds the decanter, glasses stones and the lid to the decanter separately to avoid breakage.The stones are great for chilling the whiskey without diluting it and the whole set looks lovely, especially if you have guests to serve a special drink in.All in all a lovely, luxury feeling set but I think the box should be plain rather than just say about the whiskey stones!

This is an attractive and thorough gift set for the keen whiskey drinker. It comes in a sizeable presentation box with individually moulded slots for the different parts of the set so it all appears very nice for the recipient.The individual component elements of the set are nice and have a good overall weight and hand-feel. The decanter is a square design with matching square-shaped stopper, and the four accompanying glasses all share the same diamond style pattern which is attractive and provides a variation of texture in the hand to add to the drinking experience. I don’t think I would call them ‘cocktail glasses’ as they do in the product title, I would probably just call them whiskey tumblers.The stones are an attractive little addition that some whiskey drinkers like to add as a means of chilling their drink but not melting into it like ice would do, so you can have your whiskey neat or water-blended from the outset and just let the rocks keep it cold and not alter the consistency or dilution of the drink. The stones come with a nice little wooden platform to store them once you’ve disposed of the box.I have looked over all the items in the set and couldn’t really find anything to complain about - quality wise. It would be nice to get a bit more information on the provenance of where everything is made and sourced.For a price of c. £60 (at time of review) that feels about right for the quality and presentation of what you’re getting here.

This is a stunning set that screams quality and luxury, it is all really nicely made, well presented and would make for a fantastic gift. So starting with the box, it is exceptional, it is well detailed, feels great and holds everything really well, I really like that the box is quite understated from the outside, you see rocks and the words ‘whisky chilling stones’ which gives you a hint at what is inside but I don’t think a recipient would jump to what is actually inside from the exterior. Once open you are greeted with the patterned innards which also look great and the holder with specific cutouts for each item hold them really well in place so you can be sure they will get a great first impression.The items are all really high quality, especially the big decanter, it is strong and feels like it is made of really high quality glass. All of the glassware is beautifully detailed with matching patterns which look great and really brings the set together as a whole. The whisky stones are really nice, I like that they are disks as opposed to the normal cubes, it means they sit nicely in the bottom of the glasses and using the same area are less likely to protrude from the liquid which is ideal when you are trying to cool the liquid. The stones also have a really nice wooden holder which keeps them together and helps to make freezing simple.

Bought this for our head coach, and it was an absolutely beautiful set. Everyone was impressed and I’m excited for him to utilize it. Very well packaged, and felt that everything was secure in its spot during shopping. There was a delay with delivery which caused some concern, but I don’t think that had to do with the company.

Mit diesem "Whiskey on the Rocks" Geschenk-Set bin ich rundum zufrieden. Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem hochwertigen Geschenk ist, das auch noch in einer tollen Aufmachung daherkommt, wird man mit diesem Set fündig. Der Beschenkte wird daran sicherlich genauso viel Freude haben wie ich.Schon die große Box ist ein Hingucker. Sie ist sehr stabil und auf der Innenseite mit einem passenden Gold-Muster versehen. Das passt hervorragend zu dem Design der Gläser und der Karaffe, die etwas an die 20-er und 30-er Jahre und den Art Deco Stil (oder das, was man sich darunter vorstellt) erinnern.Wie es bei Whiskygläsern bzw. Kristallglas nahezu immer der Fall ist, erscheinen sie beim Auspacken erstmal minimal trüb. Wenn sie neu sind und länger bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit in der Verpackung lagen, ist das ganz normal. Vor dem Verschenken oder der Benutzung, würde ich die Gläser also in jedem Fall nochmal etwas polieren, oder in Wasser mit einem Schuss Zitrone spülen. Nach dem Polieren haben die Gläser wieder um die Wette geglänzt.Die Qualität der Gläser ist exzellent. Sie sind gut verarbeitet und haben keine störende Naht am Rand. Die 4 Gläser haben ein Fassungsvermögen von jeweils 250 ml. Die Dicke des Glases und das Gewicht entspricht so ziemlich genau der unserer teureren Markengläsern.Die Karaffe fasst 650 ml und ist ebenfalls sehr gut verarbeitet. Sie hat ein ordentliches Gewicht und wirkt wertig.Der besondere Clou bei diesem Set sind aber sicherlich die Kühlsteine. Es sind sechs Stück enthalten. Auch sie machen einen guten Eindruck, da sie eine weich polierte Oberfläche haben und alle optisch ansprechend gemustert sind. Man legt sie auf das kleine Holztablett (das einzige Element in dem Set, das sehr leicht ist und nicht so hochwertig wirkt wie der Rest, aber das kann ich verkraften) und gibt alles zusammen über Nacht ins Tiefkühlfach. Die Steine verwässern das Getränk nicht und speichern die Kälte länger als herkömmliche Eiswürfel.★Fazit: Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Whiskey Set von R.O.C.K.S., denn es macht sich ganz toll in der Vitrine und wirkt hochwertig - natürlich trinkt sich der Whisky daraus ebenfalls sehr gut und stilvoll. Als edles Geschenk ist es hervorragend geeignet und wird den Beschenkten sicherlich ebenfalls begeistern.★

I have a few liquor decanters but I am I'm always looking for new ones to add to my collection. What attracted me to this set is the presentation and style of the set.When I first opened it up, I could tell that presentation was a huge part of the experience. The elegant box has a book style lid that opens at the top revealing a nice soft mesh cloth covering the entire set. Under the cloth is a well organized slotted container for each of the pieces. The set is absolutely beautiful. The etching and styling of the decanter and matching glasses to the individually styled stones and stone platform.The decanter is made of thick glass with a solid glass lid. There is no rubber seal on the lid which I prefer personally. The glasses are also very solid thick glass. Each stone has their own style which range from compressed gravel looks, granite, and sandstone to name a few. Whiskey stones are a nice touch when serving liquor so you don’t water down the beverage with ice. That said, I typically prefer large ice balls over stones because the ice balls chill the drink better, faster, and don’t melt enough to ruin the flavor. Whiskey rocks do not chill drinks very well especially if you like to pour doubles but they do add a very nice look. The whiskey rocks once cleaned sit nicely on their wooden tray which can be placed in the freezer to chill. It takes about 24 hours to get as cold as they can.I love the retro look of this elegant whiskey decanter and will be very happy to add my Scotch to it. The matching glasses are great for serving at parties and when setup on my bar, is a great conversation piece. I highly recommend this gift set for yourself or anyone you know who likes to have whiskey on the R.O.C.K.S.
