Excellent piece of kit - easy to use even for a novice door maker
I have never made a cupboard door from scratch before and I found this tool really easy to use - just clamp it on and drill the hole - simple as that. Having an extractor or something to help clean up all the wood shavings is a bonus as there is a lot of wood that comes out. The quality and neatness of the hole was really excellent and the hinges fitted with no issues. I didn't use the small holes for the screws as I didn't have a drill bit thin enough but wasn't an issue as just marked and drilled by hand with a speed square. Overall very pleased with this - it doesn't look like much but it does the job incredibly well.

Worth a little extra for the brand
Pleased I spent the extra few quid on a Kreg one...it wasn't worth me buying a very expensive professional one as I'm just a diy'er.... but trusted the Kreg brand quality. Really easy to use, sharp bit cutting very cleanly in solid oak doors, and solid feeling plastic jig keeps it squarely at 90 degrees. As others mention the pilot holes need a little careful drilling as the jig 'cage' that houses the forstner can get in the way of a spot on 90 degree approach because of the drill chuck coming up against it....but by being thoughtful on centering the drill as close to 90 degrees as I can, it has caused me no problems....and I have never done a job like this before. Was pretty nervous about wrecking my new cupboard doors but tested it on a bit of scrap first, and then was quickly able to work on the doors themselves (was expecting to need a lot more time to set up and practise) ...this has made the job a breeze! Its a fantastic bit of kit for a total door hinge novice cutter like me!

Great product and easy to use
This is an excellent piece of kit. It's easy to use and very handy. It would be best if you clamped the jig when using it, but it is easy to adjust.

It does the job
So you can only adjust the depth in increments of 1 mm. I guess this means you’re less likely to end up with different depths left and right so it’s easy to use. However I suppose there might be situations where you wnat to adjust more finelyI thought it was really easy to use - my only criticism was that the hole was slightly too wide for my screwfix hinges. They fit ok but there was a little bit of play which I guess over time might be problematic as all the strain is on the screws as opposed to using the cup to help secure the fixing. To get it perfect I would need to buy a different bit and hope the diameter fits the jig - which makes the whole thing quite expensiveBut apart from that the device gives you perfe t depth control and the hole is of course perfectly straight

Used regularly.
Works great, gets bound up on cheaper mdf a bit, but if you are going into Hidrofugo MDF or pine etc its fine. Done about 120 holes so far in various materials.

Must have for Cabinet Making
Seeing as making cabinets needs precise holes and cuts, I wanted a reputable and reliable product to cut my hinge holes, so bought this and was not disappointed. The blades cut the holes very well and the adjustable jig made things much easier. Yes it's more expensive than other ones on the market, but you get what you pay for, and I would definitely recommend this. Definitely happy with this purchase.

Overheated during use
In principle a good bit of kit however, my experience is that the drill bit wasn't that sharp and started over heating after 9 holes. This resulted in the jig melting during use which was annoying. That said I've ordered another, I've got six more holes to drill and the set up and use was very easy.
