A must for gigging bass players
Fast fret makes my bass bass strings ultra slippy making it easier to play. This is important when playing a 26 song live set as your fingers can get sore towards the end of a gig without Fast Fret.I Re-apply Fast Fret at the beginning of the second set.It is an excellent product that lasts a very long time.I can thoroughly recommend using Fast Fret.

Good item to have
FAST FRET will not give you lightning fast fingers or instant shredding ability ! So what does it do ? Rubbing the impregnated stick along the neck deposits a layer of lubricant to both the neck and strings allowing less friction with the fingers so making slides and bends slightly easier . Functionaly the difference wont be instantly noticable, but over time you may notice strings last longer and playing slightly easier. IMPORTANT ! wether usisng Fast Fret or not , always rub or wipe your guitar after use with a cleaner or micro fiber cloth, sweat from fingers if left will corrode strings and effect the neck. Value for money is down to the individual, dependant on how often its used, I ALWAYS apply a light rub every time i play one of my guitars.

Good product but 'new' thin plastic container isn't robust and lid is 'tricky'
Its a good product but it was better when it came in a robust metal tin. The new thin plastic container isn't very robust and if you don't close the lid properly it can dry out the stick. The trick is to squeeze the container a little as you put the lid on, which 'sucks it' in place more securely.

Slide into smoothness
I've been using GHS Fast Fret on my guitars for a while now, and I must say, it's like a magic wand for your strings. As a guitarist, you know the struggle of keeping your strings clean and your fingers moving smoothly. Well, Fast Fret has you covered on both fronts. The first time I used it, I was taken aback by how much easier my fingers glided across the strings. It was like my guitar had been given a new lease of life. The smoothness it adds to the playing experience is something you really have to feel to believe. It's not just about ease of playing; it's about the confidence it gives you. Those tricky solos and fast-paced riffs? They suddenly feel a lot more manageable. But Fast Fret isn't just about making playing easier. It's also a fantastic maintenance tool. It keeps the strings clean, which in turn prolongs their life. I've noticed a significant reduction in the frequency of string changes since I started using it. And as a bonus, it also keeps my fretboard looking neat and tidy. What I particularly appreciate is the ease of application. The applicator is so straightforward to use – just glide it over the strings and you're done. No mess, no fuss. And it's compact enough to toss in my guitar case, making it super convenient for gigs or jam sessions. The scent is quite pleasant too – a subtle, clean aroma that's not overpowering. It's a small detail, but it adds to the overall experience of using the product. In a nutshell, GHS Fast Fret is an essential item for any guitarist looking to keep their strings in top condition and enhance their playing experience. It's one of those rare products that's both a time-saver and a game-changer. Five stars all the way for this little gem!

This should be in every gigbag!
Fast delivery, securely packaged, no complaints at all there. I've been using Fast Fret for a long time now, I'm so happy my wife discovered this for me (she bought me a new guitar for Xmas a few years back and included Fast Fret as an accessory). If you play guitar, you need this. Fast Fret lasts a long time, I use it on two guitars and I think I might go through two per year, maybe three.Forget about the included cloth, it's useless on guitar strings, always has been, and is generally recognized as such by just about everyone who uses Fast Fret, but we forgive GHS this because Fast Fret is such a good bit of kit and it's completely unimportant.Fast Fret does keep the strings brighter for longer (both visually and audibly), and it slows down corrosion and speeds up the neck. The strings feel smooth and slick, and your playing hand slides up and down faster. I took a while to get used to the feel of slick strings, but now I can feel how slow and rough dry strings actually are, and it's a really noticible difference. If you use it all the time, it really does feel like you're playing with new strings all the time, and if I pick up my mates guitar and his strings are dry, I find it almost unplayable. It's certainly uncomfortable.A word of caution: the occasional coat of Fast Fret is useless if you play regularly. The string corrosion is already well under way by the time you think to apply the Fast Fret. Getting the best from it requires a little routine, but no guitarist should ever consider a little maintenance to be too much effort. If you do, you should consider another instrument. Before playing, clean your strings. I use an all-in-one folding microfiber string, fret and fingerboard cleaner. They start out about £6 and go to around £13 on Amazon, they really do work and I highly recommend you get one yourself. There are, of course, lots of cloths and oils for sale on Amazon as well, if you prefer to do it that wayApply a coat of Fast FretPlay your guitarWhen you're finished playing, clean the strings againApply a coat of Fast Fret and put your guitar awayIt's not really as much work as it sounds, Fast Fret lasts for ages and the results are well worth it. If you're not already in the habit of looking after your strings, then now's the time to start, and Fast Fret is a good start.
