The Seven Year Slip
G**T
A Tattooed Chef, a Time-Bending Apartment, and All the Butterflies in My Stomach!!
Okay, hear me out — I’ve read a lot of romance novels. Like, enough to open my own heartbreak café. But The Seven Year Slip? This one? It slipped right into my heart and locked the door. This book is everything. The plot isn’t just “boy meets girl”—it’s girl steps into a magical apartment that lets her fall in love across time (yes, time!!). It’s whimsical, it’s dreamy, and it’s refreshingly different. Now let’s talk about Iwan—the man, the myth, the tattooed chef legend. He’s charming, mysterious, sweet, and hot enough to make you preheat your oven just thinking about him. His character was built so beautifully, it felt like I could smell the spices on his apron and see the ink on his arms. He’s cute, complex, and the kind of MMC who makes your standards skyrocket. And our FMC? Chef’s kiss. She’s strong, independent, vulnerable in the right ways, and I swear she walked straight out of a self-love Pinterest board. She’s my new role model — smart, brave, and unapologetically real. The writing? Oh honey — the quotes, the banter, the tender little moments? I practically annotated the entire book. I was giggling, swooning, and full-on kicking my legs like a high schooler with a crush. The butterflies were not just in my stomach—they were hosting a whole garden party. If you love romance with a twist of magic, a dash of longing, and enough emotional depth to make your heart do a somersault—read this book. Trust me. You won’t stop smiling (or daydreaming about tattooed chefs) for days.

A book that will make you go from 🥺 to🥹
"That was love, wasn't it? It wasn't just a quick drop—it was falling, over and over again, for your person. It was falling as they became new people. It was learning how to exist with every new breath. It was uncertain and undeniably hard, and it wasn't something you could plan for.Love was an invitation into the wild unknown, one step at a time, together."After a life-shattering event, Clementine builds a wall around her heart. But when a charming stranger appears in her aunt's apartment, seven years in her past, she's faced with a dangerous choice: risk everything for love or play it safe.I started reading this book thinking it was just a normal romance novel with a time travel element. But it was so much more than that. What I didn't know is that it deals with the grief of losing a loved one. Hence, this book was not just a romance novel. The magical element in this book was confusing, and to be honest, I have so many questions. But the whole idea of a magical apartment was refreshing and unique. Honestly, I wonder where this author gets such ideas from! This is my second book by Ashley Poston, and I can tell you that her books are not just light and fluffy rom-coms. The way she adds elements of human emotion is outstanding.I loved the friendships in this book! It reminded me of my very own friends.🥹 The main character, Clementine, was simply adorable. I loved how the romance was built in, but the whole idea of time travel somewhat irked me.Mind you, once you start reading this book, you just can't put it down and plan to resume it some other day. Her writing and plot are addictive. I finished a major chunk of this book in just one sitting.By all means, if you are looking for a book with some magic, a story that will touch your heart along with some incredible characters, then don't forget to read this one. 📚❤️4.25✨️

"Love stays and so do we."
THIS BOOOK!!! The plot, lord christ. It's beautifully written and the flow of the story wouldn't let you put it down. Had me giggling and screaming for all the right reasons. The characters have been created well and have their own story plus it's a fresh story not some jumbo jumbled up spicy story such as twisted series. But this is fresh, light and lovely to read. I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to read. It's the best book I've come across. Love love love to the book.

Good
The media could not be loaded. Book condition is quite good.Review:Clementine, a book publicist in her late 20s, had her career and life meticulously planned out until the sudden passing of her Aunt Analea. Inheriting her aunt's supposedly magical apartment, Clementine's world is turned upside down. One day, she walks in to find a man named Iwan, who had been subletting the apartment from her aunt seven years ago.Clementine possesses a unique blend of intelligence, resilience, and imperfections. Her life is a beautiful mess as she navigates the aftermath of losing someone dear to her heart. I loved to see her journey of self-discovery and experience the raw emotions of grief. Witnessing her growth and realization that both she and others evolve over time was truly captivating. She came to understand that it's perfectly alright to deviate from the path she once cherished if it no longer aligns with her present life. In this process, she unearths her true self and rediscovers the passions that once ignited her soul.James Iwan Ashton exudes kindness, charm, and sweetness. As a chef, his passion for creating the perfect meal is truly inspiring. He aims to craft dishes that evoke memories and hold a special place in your heart. His presence left me swooning and made this book my comfort rest. (He's now my new book boyfriend). He's just perfectTheir connection was undeniable, and their affection for each other was evident. Their playful banters were so cute and I found it endearing how Iwan affectionately called Clementine "Lemon." It was so cute and sweet.😩💛The epilogue should've been longer though. The ending felt a little bit rushed and I longed to see more of them together.I was absolutely captivated by this well-crafted story, which goes far beyond expectations. It delves into the complexities of sorrow, growth, self-realization, transformation, and the quest for love. There were bursts of laughter, moments of emotion, and tears that flowed effortlessly, making it impossible not to fall head over heels for this beautiful book. It's my comfort book now. It's not just a rom-com but more!Totally worth reading!🍋
