Compact, Powerful Drill
I have been using one of these for a while now, and also own other DeWalt drills.Size wise, this is about the same as the smallest bottom of the range DeWalt drill, but is it significantly heavier, more solid, and powerful. Don't be fooled by it's size, it is a very powerful drill. So much so, there is even an anti-torque cut-off on the drill to protect your wrist. For First and Second fix (all types of jobs), including drilling in concrete. An excellent quality drill that should last a lifetime. There are times when it can be too powerful. I prefer using the 709 for Second Fix (light construction and interior cabinets and so on) because the 805 can damage delicate woods. particle boards and so on.The brake on the 805 can be so abrupt the chuck can undo and the bit fall out.Apart from those two cons, it's a superb drill. I would only buy it, though, if you do some heavier work and you actually need the power, otherwise a lighter drill like the 709 might be your thing.Recommended.
