This has fast become my favorite hoop for all my cross stitch projects. Back in the day, we used wooden hoops, and some still do. When I came back to cross stitching a couple years ago, I was ditching in hand, because I found hoops too bulky. Well, these are amazing. My hands now hurt as I age, so this hoop is easier to hold, the shape is perfect, and I love how even my stitches look. Nurge is definitely a winner for any stitcher!

Great needlework hoops, they come in l think three or four sizes. Hoop has a screw so you can really tighten your project, fabric can't come loose.😀

I will never go back to using wood hoops again. Since I discovered nurge, I love them. They are super easy to use, and the best part for me is the large, heavy duty plastic screw which is much easier for me to tighten. The small metal ones hurt my fingers when I tighten it down enough, this one does not. Holds my fabric as tight as I want, and if it gets loose while working, just give it a little tug and it tightens right up again. I have bought several of these, because they will hold the entire working surface of many of my patterns and I don't have to move the hoop at all until I am finished. It won't fit in a regular vinyl project bag but it will fit in the largest size project bags.

I bought the small. It is larger than I expected. My fault-I long for the old oval hoops. So much easier to use. Modern ones are too wide

Where has this been all my life??? I’ve been stitching for 40 years and I just came across this little Nurge set. It keeps my material tight throughout my entire stitching session. Equally great is that it doesn’t leave a hard crease when I release the material after stitching. It also seems to help minimize the pain you get in your hands after holding it for a long time because you don’t have to maintain a tight grip at all. These things are keepers!

This is my first time using a square hoop for cross stitching. After a few tries, I got the hang of applying my fabric to stitch on. The hoop is nice and sturdy. I'm satisfied and will purchase in other sizes.

This is honestly the best tension hoop I’ve ever used! It was a little difficult getting the fabric in, but I’m sure with more use I’ll get better at setting it up. I’m just so happy I was able to find a large square hoop for the bigger cross stitch projects I like to do. The fabric stays nice and tight and despite being plastic and somewhat bigger than the average hoop, it’s not too heavy. I just wish the dimensions were the same both length and width.
