Excellent Weber kamado conversion kit - only slightly let down by grill suspension pegs
For the most part this kit is excellent - the frame and ceramic plates fit perfectly in my Weber 57cm kettle and from first use it was apparent how effective they are both at retaining, controlling and maintaining heat inside the kettle. Works great both when cooking direct (I use GrillGrates for this) as well as indirect - there's even room to keep the kit installed when using a rotisserie as long as you use a slightly narrower drip tray in between the charcoal baskets sitting at either side. The only thing that lets it down is the pegs/ supports for the actual food grill - they are completely useless and will not support the grill in a stable fashion... at least not on my Weber one-touch.I love the kit though so wanted a way to fix this pretty major problem - I finally hit on the idea of getting a water/ drip pan of the right diameter and depth to support the grill. After some measuring and searching I found a stainless steel pizza pan here on Amazon which is a perfect fit - 40cm diameter and 3cm depth. This works wonderfully and has the added benefit of being just what you need if you're cooking/ smoking indirectly. So in summary is it very annoying that this product is supplied without a viable way to support the food you want to cook on it? Yes - extremely. Also annoying having to weigh out more cash to fix it? Yes. But when you take these measure does it work well and is it worth acquiring? Without doubt - from what I can tell it's pretty much unique and turns your Weber kettle into something that's quite close to a kamado for a small fraction of the price of one if that's what you're looking for. A massive plus is having pretty much all the grill space for indirect cooking instead of sacrificing half of it with a traditional indirect setup. I hope my method helps others who were also trying to work out how to hold up the grill in a stable manner - the kit will be living inside my kettle pretty much all the time now... it's so versatile that I can't think of a cooking method that would need it to be removed.

Awesome piece of kit
Great idea. Helps provide steady temps and uses much less fuel. I had no issues with suspension pegs, I actually thought they were an improvement on the Weber ones. I used in conjunction with Only Fire Rotisserie and was delighted with performance and ease of set up.

Grill grate support not stable
Works as expected, however the supports for the grill rate are not stable. This could be improved

Great Upgrade to Weber Kettle
This arrived today and I had one cook. It was brilliant, retained heat, deflected as needed and was easy to install. Great value. Worth trying and not a bad step towards ceramic bbq’s. Cheaper introduction than some.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Went on a bbq cooking course last weekend which involved being taught how to cook on a kamado bbq. I was recommended this for my Weber and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Easy to assemble it then retained the heat much longer than normal and used much less charcoal Highly recommended

A game changer!!
Well, I'm possibly the first to try this in the UK. I tested it with a 2.5kg pork butt. Firstly, the fuel consumption is greatly improved, this ran for a solid 12 hours using good quality charcoal. It burnt half the charcoal I'd have expected in a kettle. Temps were smoother to control, more like a kamado. I was able to fit a drip pan between the deflector and the grate, I used a stainless steel dish with water. Downsides, none really but like kamados I'd avoid using briquettes. I would have liked to have seen more room between the deflector and the grate but I'm sure a mod can be created. A modified rotisserie ring maybe. All in all, do I like it? Yes am I glad I bought it, yes. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!!!!
