Huge improvement over our last Shark that we loved. Great value
Amazing quality and value. Bought to replace a similar model by Shark but this is far superior.Suction is the best we've ever had, in standard mode or as lift away, much stronger than the replaced shark in both modes. The bin is much bigger than the old one. Everything about it is more robust and stronger in function and design than the standard shark designs. Edge cleaning is better than the other Shark. Still fits under the same furniture and the lights are great. Bin removal feels more robust and it's definitely better on lift away mode. Being chunkier it is easier to stand up without the base. Luckily there 3 floor type selections because on the strongest roller and suction settings it grips our large rug and moves the entire thing and would be impossible to use.Didn't expect it to be this much better than the other Shark we used, prices weren't that different but this is clearly a flagship model and had a big price drop.It is so strong that it will instantly strip the casing of electrical cable then shred the exposed wires I'd expect, luckily only got to the outer stripping part! So be careful, it's incredible, the rollers seem super powered and are definitely not getting clogged with the hair as the other Shark used to. It's getting the dog hairs out of the rug and upstairs carpets much more effectively. We loved our old Shark and it was a no brainer to replace with the same brand but don't dnt realise this was a huge step up in every way.Insane value for money tbh.Doesn't mark our engineered oak flooring despite it's huge increase in lowerIt Is unusual looking, many Shark are but this looks more industrial, more purposeful, I guess the looks for the function.100% recommended this model, no negatives at all.

This is The One
Chuckling at every review of this I read that says, 'we had a Dyson so we know...' You knew TV ads, love. That's all. You bought an overpriced gimmick with a charlatan's name on the side. The photos speak for themselves so I'll just add, it's not too loud (frankly it's surprisingly quiet given the performance), the anti-odour thing works well enough that I'm not going to resent buying a new one every now and again, it IS heavy but it's also manoeuvrable, and most importantly for me and the main reason I bough a pet speciality device, the anti hair-wrap tech works.Every 'test' I see of such things involves someone lightly treading some cut hair into a thin mat and seeing what happens but that's not real world. Real world is long hair and debris trod into the carpet over such a long time that it becomes part OF the carpet, real world is not vacuuming as often as you should because you're just too tired, real world is a thick longhair rug or vetbed that was brilliant for the dog when you bought it and is now so clogged it's basically a health hazard. And this thing did it all without any trouble. It'll never face a sterner test than what I put it through yesterday - a dog's playroom that hasn't been properly cleaned in 3 years. And I didn't go easy, pre-brushing, or even picking up larger clumps of hair (or stuffing from chewed up soft toys) that had accumulated around table legs and the like. I just threw this at it.And it was a JOY. There was a little bit of hair wrap on the soft roller, but that detaches for cleaning easily enough and the main roller? Not one bit. The single best performance of a roller vs dog hair I've seen in 30 years.I'd considered spending more and getting a Sebo (not least because bagged vacs do tend to be better since the bag acts as a filter), but that has the same basic brush roller as every vac I've wrapped in dog hair before, and I decided the flexibility of this was worth more to me. Detaching the bin and holding it in your hand is a bit gimmicky and won't be for everyone, but it does mean cleaning all the way under a double bed is possible without too much fuss.Negatives? You have to nitpick. It will be too heavy for some. Being left-handed the power cord is on the wrong side for me and is a bit of a pain. The handle isn't the best design for when you've lifted it out and are doing the edges. The holders for the accessories are rubbish and you'd be better off storing them separately because they get in the way and fall off. There are better LEDs on other vacs. Emptying the bin is a two-step process (top and bottom lids) rather than one. But that's reaching. It's an excellent machine. It's now in a house with a Henry which I hate the ergonomics of, a G-Tech Air Ram which is nice but just isn't up to dealing with the dogs, a handheld for quick jobs, and some thing so useless I can't even remember the name of it. This will replace all of them. There's nothing any of them do better.I got it for £250 which is a steal. I wouldn't feel at all short-changed if I'd spent £400.

Good suction
Was looking for a new hoover for a while. Really impressed with this purchase. So easy to assemble when it came. Yes it is heavy but we are managing well. The cord is really long and reaches everywhere. Easy to empty. Picks up my long hair and the dog hair.

Why would you pay loads more for a Dyson when these work a treat.
I love the Shark vacuums - all the features of a Dyson but a fraction of the cost. This one is no expectation - large capacity, great suction (picks up so much dirt) and comes apart easily for transportation and getting to those hard-to-reach places. The odour eliminator is also a nice feature, leaves the room smelling fresh after cleaning.

As a replacement for a Dyson its a revelation
Light easy to use and provides a pleasing aroma whilst vacuuming, cable can be a bit of a nuisance. Plenty of suck action though!

Its a tank,size and weight
Ok, first the negative it's a tank weight and size , involuntary work out given whilst using .Didn't like my door mat would either suck it up or brush head not spin.Still left quiet a lot of bits in my fluffy rug in the living room, though I could be wondering how much did it get up so that is a 50/50 nigglePlus side ran it over my entrance and stairs ( with small head) brilliantly that was my first port if call and the dust/ dirt it got out was mind blowing .I dread to think whdt it will get up from my bedroom as both my cats and dog sleep in there a lot .I've got embarrassment just thinking about it

Great value buy.
I found this to be a great purchase and a worthwhile investment. I upgraded from a Henry vacuum to a Shark, and it was a very positive experience. The cord is long enough and comes with extra accessories and brushes. It's easy to clean if something gets stuck, and the noise reduction feature is a nice bonus. Overall, it's high quality and functions well. It works exactly as promised. It provides cleaning options for high-pile carpets, low-pile carpets, and various types of flooring. It looks beautiful and is a fantastic idea for apartments, especially when it comes to saving space.
