Great fan

This is a noisy fan and it sounds like a jet is in my bedroom when it is turned up to number 10 - im a light sleeper so it bothers me i bought it because i thought by a dyson it would be good - its ok but not as good at cooling as id expected -its ok - havent used the heater function yet but will persevere with it for the winter in the uk -no sleep in the household when its on fan function - disappointed to be honest

Absolutely delighted with the AM09! The Jet Focus technology gives me precise airflow when I need it, and I can quickly switch to heat mode on chilly mornings. It’s whisper-quiet compared to my old fan and heats my study in minutes. The sleek White/Silver finish looks great, and it’s so easy to clean. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a classy, effective year-round appliance!

Overpriced and underperforming.It may look good but the cool air does nothing to cool a room down. Not chilled at all.Hot air does the job but could be done by a much cheaper heater.I will try it for a bit longer but it is likely to be returned to Amazon.

I'll be honest i have heard great things for years when it came to dyson fans and I expected a lot out of this as the ones I've come across have been amazing for cooling down spaces but this one isn't really that great yes it can help cool you off being a fan and all but its not really all that when cooling down a room and for the price an air con unit would be better and cheaper seeing as this cost a large chunk of money. so personally I couldn't recommend this item if you buy it to cool down a room just because it isn't that great in terms of cooling which is the main reason I bought it for those hot summers we get in the UK.

The Dyson Hot and Cool Jet focus fan is quick and easy to set up. There is a base that is twisted into position, and then you're done! The fan is controlled using the remote provided, don't lose this though, otherwise you can't alter the settings without it.The key features of this fan are that it can heat and cool efficiently whilst not taking up too much space. It is also very quiet.This fan is blade-less and therefore safe to have powered on around a toddler whilst providing a powerful and uninterrupted stream of smooth airflow, the other bonus is that it is very easy to clean.There are two airflow modes to select, the first being jet focus that provides more of a focused mode, whilst the diffused mode directs the air out either side at 45 degrees to give more of a whole room heating function, both of these can be used on the hot and cold settings whilst oscillating also.Just like most fans, this can also oscillate, but it is restricted to a shallow 70 degrees. The body can also tilt on its base, this is ideal if the fan is on a sideboard and you are sitting lower, this is a manual setting, not like the oscillate feature.The remote feels comfortable to hold, it has basic buttons that function well, it can be positioned on the top of the fan using built-in magnets for storage, I am personally not a fan (no pun intended) of how the remote looks when docked like this.There is a built-in thermostat that can be used to control the temperature of a room, when in heat mode, use the temperature up and down button to set the desired room temperature, this is displayed on the fan base, the fan will turn off once the temperature in the room is reached, this does not control the temperature of the fan though, as this is constantly the same heat. The heat that comes off the PTC ceramic plates is not overpowering but rather gentle and warm.Overall, as we all expect from Dyson, this fan is expensive but built to last and performs well. You can't beat a jet stream from a Dyson, the engineering that goes into these is amazing. I think that it looks well designed and stylish (for a fan) without it taking up too much space. It is definitely an eye-catcher and a premium product. Heats and cools efficiently whilst being quiet and elegant in doing so. I hope that you have found my review to be helpful. Thank you.

Love this as a heater, but not so much as a fan. When it's freezing cold in the bedroom after we had a shower or something, this is great for getting us warmed up fast, but on warm nights (we're only in spring so far) it struggles to move enough air to cool us without turning it up to the max.It looks gorgeous don't get me wrong, but I think a proper fan would be better for summer. Also there is a lot of fluff built up around the holes for the vent and no obvious way of cleaning it all properly
