Great plot for the beginning, arrived in great quality
Book Spoiler:The book arrived in great quality and was cared for. So far I’m around 4 pages in and the story line is wonderful. The factor that her family is very dismissive of stuff that Alice does, or needs to go do. And I enjoy how her rival/enemy is already introduced in mention of the awards ceremony instead of it being waited out for being introduced later along in the book. We haven’t met Henry yet since it’s only the beginning, but the description of him seems.. interesting. She seems to notice everything perfect about him, and doesn’t recognize any of his flaws which is slightly odd. Yes, most people get introduced like they’re a flower in a garden, but mostly they come introduced with one flaw that’s in their garden. I’m waiting to see what his flaws could be, or maybe what secrets are hiding in him? As the whole story description is based off the factors of secrets, rumors, and lies. So the question is, what could he be hiding?

Strange But Good
At first the premise seemed ridiculous but it grabbed me. At first I did not like the negativity of the main character, but she grabbed me. I must have somehow missed what finally happened to Andrew after exposure since he was the instigator. Did I skip over something in the decisions by the school? And does she still turn invisible without warning? What happened to that? But overall a surprisingly compelling story. I liked the ending, it was fitting.

We all feel invisible sometimes
But most of us never actually disappear. Here, though, this happens. Set amidst a crazy wealthy Chinese boarding school backdrop, this is a unique and wonderful coming of age story. Friendship and a touch of romance make this extra enjoyable. Lots of potential content triggers or issues, though, so reader beware. I would reserve this for upper teens and older.Content Advisory: cursing, irreverent uses of God and god, homosexuality, heavy sexual content, including references to teen sex and both adult and teen pornography, racism and racially motivated crime

Equivalent of watching a mediocre show just for a certain genre
I think that the initial idea of the plot is definitely intriguing, and the writing is well-phrased in certain aspects. There are touching themes of the younger generation working too hard for their age. However, I found some of the phrases to be “cringe” in a sense. The characters are a bit too flat, fitting into basic personalities- a hardworking, slightly misguided FL and a very rich, seemingly perfect, traumatized ML. It’s a good book to read to pass time, but I prefer books with a deeper plot and character.

So good I slowed down to read every word
It's not often a book makes me giggle out loud. It's even rarer that it happens more than once. This book was so sweet and funny, and I love the character monologuing and interactions. The relationship with her parents is so pure, and getting lost in the mission is something I can absolutely relate to. I loved this book, and will likely add it to my shelf and read it again

Love it!
The book arrived in perfect condition. The only thing that makes me give it 4 stars is that in some parts it was a little dirty, but you can hardly tell that it is used ☺️
