Solid replacement - Flowtron BF-190 Replacement Bulb for BK-40D
I bought the Flowtron BF-190 Replacement Bulb for BK-40D for our 1 acre Flowtron. We live on a farm in the country so the flying bugs are plentiful. The construction of the base unit makes it a bit of a pain to get the old bulb out to install the replacement bulb. The new bulb works fine and has dramatically reduced the number of flying bugs making our back patio useable during the summer months.

I just bought the 1 acre bug killer, these are replacements, so I don’t have to have to hunt for them when I will need them in the future. Saves time.

Not the same quality as the original Korea made bulb installed at the factory.Original lasted 2 summers over 2 years.This China made bulb lasted 2 months.Does not seem to be any warranty beyond 30 day returns.

Great bulb!
Very effective bulb that has killed thousands (maybe millions) of bugs among all of the ones I have running on my property. The bulb typically lasts a season and a half running non-stop. Overall, a superb bulb. I did have one that lasted a very short period of time, but 99% of them last a very long time. I saw the other reviews, but I think they are abnormal situations.

Works great!
Exactly the same as what came with my original zapper. I don't understand why some got a different color?My light stopped working and I wasn't sure if that means the unit broke as well. But I got the bulb figuring I could try it, and if it didn't work just return it.-came wrapped in bubble wrap sonit was well protected.-Slid into the existing holder no problem. I did have to give it a final shove to get it to clamp in all the way, but that was easy.All and all this is a great replacement.I hope it continues to work for a few years.
