6L Salad Spinner, Stainless Steel Large Vegetable Washer, PP Lid, for Fruit Washer， Pasta and Fries Spinner

I am slowly replacing my kitchen items with stainless steel and glass figuring that the things I own are so old they probably have dangerous chemicals in them that are now banned.I purchased this stainless steel salad spinner to replace a plastic one that I bought 45 years ago.I am quite happy with this product. The lid is made of plastic but it is of the new safer variety and really doesn’t come in contact with the food.It’s quite easy to clean.It did come with a residue of the polish used in the production of the steel parts but 3 washings removed it completely.The exterior of the base has a rubber coating that keeps it from sliding around on the counter as well as keeping it from scratching the counter.I think this is a great design and am quite happy with my purchase.

The pictures are misleading. This salad spinner is much smaller than what is pictured. Also, there is no way to separate the plastic top from the compartment below, so the breaking device is shaving little pieces of plastic off into your salad anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose of trying to not use plastic!

I am trying to eliminate plastic tools in my kitchen. After searching, this is the only stainless steel salad spinner I have found. Be aware the top part, which initiates the spin and can be used to drain the water is still plastic, but I can control the salad greens so they don't come into contact with it. I wish this part was also stainless steel. This plastic piece is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Only people trying to eliminate plastic contamination for their food would be motivated to pay more for this so it makes sense to eliminate ALL the plastic parts. It does work well and I appreciate that the perforated bowl and the outer bowl, which hold the greens and water are both stainless steel.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was a skeptic. I didn't know how it would work, but it outperforms every time! I absolutely love that it is stainless steel, easy to clean, durable, and hygiene.

Finally a non plastic salad spinner. The top lid is still plastic but for the most part everything else is stainless steel. Easy to clean and works well. Reducing the microplastics in my salad!

This is unfortunately the only option for a stainless steel spinner, but there are major design flaws. The worst being the holes in the basket are so small, and the corners have no holes at all, so the salad doesn't really dry like it should. It also wobbles if you try to go fast because of the removable plate on the bottom.

Have used this for about a month and it works great so far! The bowl and spinner insert are fantastic and the bowl has a great gripper on the bottom. This rare construction and materials is worth buying this in my opinion as they could last forever.I have some concerns about the lid. I think the spinning handle mechanism and gears are solid and the lid material seems strong. The clips that keep the lid on seem a bit weak and will probably be what breaks. Working well so far though! Still worth buying overall if you are gentle on the lid. Best spinner I have ever seen.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Stopped working after a month of using. The inner bowl won't spin now.
