Better than I thought
Bought for husband as a Christmas gift. I was a bit wary after reading some reviews but actually really pleased with it. The sound is decent and functions really well. Really enjoying playing our old LPs.

Great quality record player with bluetooth and wired connection options.
Really enjoyed using this turntable and it inpsired me to get all my old vinyl records out which I had not played for 20yrs or more.I like my hifi and so have a high spec Marantz receiver and some large B and W speakers in a surround sound set up. These are capable of seriously high quality output and volume. This turntable can be used on its own although you just get to hear the music through relatively low volume fairly basic speakers which is fine for low level background music but not that great. In my case, I hard wired it using the audio cable and I also tried the 3.5mm jack to audio to my amp and high end hifi system. The sound quality output by the turntable is really high and it reminded me that many experts say the sound from vinyl records is clearer and more authentic than the sound from streamed music. This seems to be true with this turntable. The sound quality was really noticably good. A joy to listen to in fact and better than spotify streaming at the highest quality rate. Ok you get the odd crackle where my vinyl is scratched but even this is somehow endhearing. On my more perfect vinyl there was no hum or background noise, even at high volume and this suggested to me that the sound output quality was really good. The control button on the front of the turntable acts as a volume control and also if you press it it cycles through to streaming and bluetooth functions but I found the hard wired cables easiest. The stylus, which is the all critical component seems to be extremely good. The stylus comes with a small plastic protection piece that you slide off and this is worth keeping when not in use. The stylus arm is very well damped and also has a built in clamp for when not in use.It is easy to select 33 1/3rd, 45 or 78 speeds. Once selected you simply use the little stylus arm lever to raise the stylus and then carefully move the arm to align with the clear edge of the record and the record automatically starts rotating and then you lower the arm and no matter how fast you lower the arm it is well damped so lowers really gently.Once it gets to the end of the record you can select 'auto' which means the records just stops. An LP sticks out of the cover when it is lowered but this is part of the design and of course means that the footprint of the unit is smaller.I genuinely really liked this turntable and the output sound quality to my hifi is awesome and this is the important thing to me as for the price I knew the built in speakers would be very limited.

Very good but
Very pleased with the gramophone but trying to buy a spare stylus to use for 78rpm records found they were difficult to find and relatively very expensive.

Just terrible.
The sound from this record player is terrible, even worse than I imagined it would be. I wasn’t’ expecting Bang and Olufsen but I was expecting better than what I got. It wasn’t great. I was using the phono output and the output is very low. You need to turn your volume up to maximum. I’m using a Pioneer system for the sound and going through a small Behringer mixing desk and even these couldn’t make this thing sound great. On top of all I have to pay £2.37 or something to return the thing.

This is okay for someone who just wants-to listen to records, and doesn’t mind the tinny sound.
This is okay for someone who just wants-to listen to records, and doesn’t mind a tinny and heavily restricted sound. This record-player is really just let-down by the speakers; which are so tinny, weak, and have a limited volume-level.You’ll struggle-to distort the speakers because the volume is reasonably restricted. The fact that you can use Bluetooth® to play your music via these speakers isn’t that appealing when you hear the quality; but I suppose it’s still an option. The best way to get better sound from your vinyl, is to connect this record-player to an external amplifier that has some competent speakers attached-to it; but that sort of defeats-the-whole-object of this device, because if you already had that hi-fi equipment, then for around the same price you can have an Audio Technica turntable, and ‘not’ just the needle cartridge that this record-player has installed. Also, whilst we’re on price, there are very similar record-players available for significantly less than this one. At the time of purchasing, I could have taken a “1” off of the front of the price of this offering and could have ‘still’ purchased a well-reviewed Bluetooth® turntable with an almost identical specification to this turntable.I don’t like the fact that the headphone socket is at the rear of this record-player; just like most other, much cheaper offerings have this at the front of the unit, but this is where the tinny speakers are for this player; so, it can’t be placed there. Plus, the auto-stop function merely stops the turntable spinning, leaving the needle pressed-down on the vinyl record, because it doesn’t return the arm back-to its original position. Even my music centre, from 1984 does that; and I couldn’t have even dreamed that this 2024 record-player wouldn’t even sound any ‘better’ than that bargain-basement Bush music-centre that’s just turned forty-years-old this October; but it’s true.(Tip: There's also an issue when removing a vinyl record from the player, which means that you have-to make-sure that you lift the 'front' of the vinyl record 'up' as you're lifting-it 'off' of the centre piece, to avoid scratching the edge of the vinyl record at the 'rear' of the record; as it catches on the Perspex dust-cover.)This is just too much money when compared-to the price of the competition; and for the quality of the resulting sound-output. Just the tiniest of bass speakers (the kind used in certain televisions) would fit into this unit, and would at-least ‘fill’ the sound, and would give this record-player its U.S.P; and therefore, its justification to price this unit considerably higher than ‘some’ of the ‘currently’ equal-sounding competition. As I said in the main title, this record-player would be okay for someone who just wants-to listen to vinyl records, or for someone who has never had ‘anything’ like this before. It would be fine for anybody’s birthday or Christmas present; just so long as they don’t mind the ‘1980’s music-centre’ sound-quality.I cannot see much these days; (as I’m partially-blind) so, now I prefer to listen, and I just like music ‘too-much’ to have great artists’ work being ‘pummelled into submission’ by devices such as this. Now, I very much appreciate the opportunity to test and review this record-player; but I can’t keep-it. So, if the sellers are reading this review, I am more than happy-to send this record-player back to you, if you contact me within the next-two weeks; or I will have-to donate it to a worthwhile cause. Thanks.

All looks and no substance
It looks the part, decent stylus and cartridge, retro yet modern .... but there's one major flaw, the built in speakers - they are so weak. Zero bass response, your records will never sound how they are meant to on this. The speaker unit looks like a small soundbar, wrapped in stylish fabric and yet they sound like a mono radio speaker from the 80s, so disappointing

Turntable doesn’t spin - poor response from seller
This looks good - as shown in pics. However, mine arrived faulty. When plugged in and switched on the turntable didn’t turn. Emailed seller - told to just return it - no word of replacement or advice. It’s frustrating to have to pack it all back up and return it - waste of time without a satisfactory resolution. I bought the guarantee with it too… Not happy.
