If you want a data sheet on the chip, google for it. L298N H brigde.If using separate power supplies for your arduino and your motor power, you may need to tie the grounds together to ensure the logic signals can be read reliably.

If the motors are DC, then yes it will.

This type of motor controller is used to connect to a micro-controller their is d different type of Motor controller for R/C use
