There is Something Magical about using a product that is exactly the same as the one used by people from a different corner of the world hundreds (!) of years ago! The Soap bar is Chunky, so note to the Makers: “Could you please cut your bar into 4 pieces so it fits comfortably in my hand? :) and don’t waste extra paper packaging the smaller pieces, as long as it fits evenly, it can be sold in the same packaging. The ingredients are plant based so it feels luxurious and yet there is no distinct fragrance about this Soap except that your skin feels fresh and clean and soft after your shower.. God Bless the people who are preserving their ancient legacy and connecting people to a simpler time! Thanks to Amazon for carrying something like this and to NHK News for mentioning the importance of preserving one’s culture.. thanks..

Great soap! Makes my skin feel so much softer and clear up all itching and no dryness. Also used it on my hair and it cleaned it so well and gave me body without a conditioner. Highly recommended. I’m telling all my friends and even buying it as gifts because it’s so great!

Very nice all natural soap. It produces a good lather and cleans very well. The nicest thing about it is that it cleans without stripping the natural oils from your skin and hair. I've particularly noticed my hair looks and feels so much nicer after using it in replacement of shampoo. I will say it does have a strong smell (I like it) which I could see some people not liking, but it does not smell as strong on your skin once used. I bought more of it and some other olive oil soap after liking it so much.

Great deal for the price, and the soap lasts a long time. We cut up the blocks of soap and it lasted it us a year. Didn’t have a super discernible scent but it worked well.

Soap was really, really good! Smelled nice, good lather, felt nice on my skin, no irritation. Looking at other listings online, it looks like I got a 3-year aged soap (Yzak brand), which was wonderful.Beautiful green sheen when I used the bar enough for the outside to wash away (in pic collage).However, other purchasers reported not getting the soap/brand I received at all, so I'm leaving 4/5 stars because of the uncertainty.

This soap is pure olive oil and pure bay laurel oil. It may smell different than what you are used to, but it speaks to the purity. Just a few ingredients and no artificial or irritating perfumes. (My sis said it smells like fresh latex paint, and I do see what she is saying, but I do not find it unpleasant at all.) It feels really good on the skin and in the bathtub. Not like you are sitting in chemicals. I also use it for shaving since it lathers well and the olive oil helps the razor to glide and the laurel oil acts as an antiseptic agent.

The bar of soap cleans you but it has no laurel as advertised and it smells awful. Like the grease from a mechanic shop. I do not recommend this soap.

The media could not be loaded. Update: The other order came in. It was not the same manufacturer as my first order. The bars were smaller and they do not have the same impact on my skin. The first order is on the right of the pic. I'm so disappointed.Original:I have been using goat milk soap for years, and wanted a change. Not gonna lie, I was reluctant to try this after smelling it, but the first use dispelled any dislike. I've been showering with it daily for over two weeks. I also use it as a final wash for my hair. I'm still on my first bar. It leaves my skin extremely soft with a nice sheen/glow. I just scratched my leg, looking for an ash mark and there is none.I have placed an order for four more bars as I can see myself using this for a very long time.
