Great little mini split system.
I had been sold on another brand of mini splits but saw the great price on this one so I thought I'd give it a shot. The addition on our off grid cabin needed a heat and a/c source that is efficient and this one fits the bill. It was a 3-4 hour start to finish install that went exceptionally well. It runs very quiet and keeps our space warm. The price was great, it's well built and it looks great. We're hoping to run it on our new(not yet installed) 1000 watt solar system but so far it's running great on the 5000w generator we're using.

Hunter-Cooper vs McCool
The unit is very good. It replaced a MrCool unit that had a freon leak. The amazing thing is that the McCool and the Cooper Hunter units are identical! The McCool unit was 5 years old. Installation was easier as all the units hoses/electrical were the same. The unit works very good. Almost silent. Love the 'auto' function.

Great Unit
We live in a mobile home and I thought it was impossible to lower our electric bill but this unit has done exactly that. We installed it in July and our power bill has dropped $50 a month. It connects easily to BT so it can be controlled from our cell phones. No need to get off the sofa to adjust the temperature! We bought a cheaper model for our bedroom and it does not have the BT feature. Definitely a feature to shop for!

Great unit, easy install
I bought this unit to cool a small warehouse for a home-based business. It replaced a wood stove and large Window AC unit. I did the entire install myself in a few hours. The only item that I outsourced was running the 220 line and wiring in the disconnect switch. Once the power was run the unit was super easy to install. The only special tools needed were a 45* flaring tool and a vacuum pump. The lineset cut and flared really easily with the cutter included with the flaring tool. I deburred the lines with the tool that came with the flaring tool as well. Once the fittings were connected to the unit I used the vacuum pump to evacuate the lines and check for leaks. Some installer will run a nitrogen pressure test, but in my experience if the unit will hold 30 in/hg of vacuum it should be just fine.Once the vacuum test passed, I disconnected the pump, opened the valves to let the refrigerant into the lines and powered on the unit. It took a few minutes for it to self-check and start working. Once it was powered on and producing heat, we noticed a small hum from the unit that eventually went away. This 24000 BTU unit warms the shop up in no time and keeps it super comfortable. Time will tell how long it lasts, but so far I'm very happy with this purchase.

No Heat
The install wasn't too hard. You will need some specialty tools that aren't common like a vacuum pump and gauge. You will also need a flaring tool if you don't want to curl up the extra line. The AC appears to be working but the heat is not. The compressor comes on but the inside unit just blows cold air. I thought it was just too cold outside for the heat pump to work right but I tested on a warmer day when it was 45F outside so it should have been able to heat but it still blows cold air. If you DIY the install you also don't have a warrantee. The warrantee is only valid if you have a licensed Pro install it. Most Pro's will only install their own equipment they won't install a mini split that they don't sell. You are better off Just buying one from a pro if the warrantee is worthless without a Pro install.

Very energy efficient, quiet, works amazing, the phone app is great
I’ve used several lower priced minisplits, this one is definitely my favorite. I run it on 100% solar, on full cool it uses slightly above 1000 watts, air coming out is 38-40 degrees f. My other mini splits use close to 1400 and do not cool as good as this one does. The phone app works great very easy to control and setup, very happy with the unit. Just make sure you install correctly, most people have issues due to install error.

excellent cost to value
For an adaptive unit for both heating and cooling , it has worked very well. The ease ofinstallation, cooling capabilities and heatingproficiency has me wondering why I didn’t go with this product years ago.
