I bought this World Globe for my 7 year old great grandson. So he gets to know where countries are on our planet, hopefully making it more interesting for him. I have not personally seen it lit up but am told it looks great.

Same size as all the other globes from Nat Geographical Soc. and fully detailed (imagine all made on same production line from same design and maps). However, this globe was cheaper. Seemed the same quality as other globes purchased so no disadvantage at all.
