Absolutely brilliant water trough
Love this water trough. Bought for £135 in June. Looks super smart!If you have a hose on a tap, and need water to the field… this is for you.It saves me so much time on water duty. Turn on the tap, and let it fill itself whilst I poo pick.Just connect it to the point like a normal hose to a tap to install, filled up, boom… done.You obviously need to clean the inside weekly, which is no bother, as it has a fabulous tap on the side to empty the water out.Also, we turn tap on and refill it when we need to, but it has a mechanism like your toilet with a float (hidden) which shuts the water off when it’s full to a optimum level.So if you do switch the tap on, busy yourself with other jobs and forget to switch tap off…. It stops. The field does not get soaked, happy farmer.Or if you wanted to leave tap on, to make it just automatically fill up when it gets low, you can do that also.Not used in winter yet, so will see how it goes.

Easy to assemble, good quality materials, looks good and feels sturdy.

Poor packing
Excellent for what we need, simple to assemble. Downside- lack of QC slides were flattened, hinge were near bent in half, if you don't mind doing a bit of fettling then you'll manage.

Problems with fixing hole alignments
Arrived well packed, and everything in good order. However, when I came to assemble it, the the size of the heads on the screws provided for the casing were too small, and popped through the external casing as I tightened. Resorted to my stock of washers, and put it all together. One screw hole was badly misaligned and I had to apply some judicious elbow grease. The large screws for the hinges were OK for size, but the alignment between the hinges and the casing was poor, and once again required some imaginative elbow grease. So, once assembled I will be happy to fill it with the necessary animal feed, just a shame the assembly process was not as straightforward as I'd hoped.

Exactly what I was looking for. Very good quality, easy to assemble and versatile ... I shall be using all four as planters for my garden!
