Very sharp
This knife was so great for me when I was removing the carpet and pad from a bedroom. It is so sharp, and it is not just straight. It has an angle which worked well for me. It comes with extra blades and they are very easy to change out. I am 65 yo woman and this made the job possible for me to do it by myself. Good buy. I will make sure I have replacement blades for this because I know it will have many other uses around the home.

Perfect
Nice and sharp, folds up compactly. Did a great job cutting out the carpet from my sunroom when my utility knife was struggling.

Needs better safety feature
I love the fact that the blade folds away, unlike the traditional knife of this type. BUT ... the handle should be larger so that the entire blade is within the casing. The plastic doo-dad will get lost before you can blink, and there is still enough blade exposed to do serious damage. As others have also said, the handle needs to be longer, to enable a better grip overall. I don't care if extra blades fit into the handle ... but make the tool large enough that dropping it isn't so likely. On the plus side, I really, really like the folding mechanism.

Good knife, though first time I used one
I'm no pro, so can't judge compared to other carpet knives, but this is MUCH better than using a utility knife to cut carpet. I was concerned after stretching (first time using a stretcher too) that I'd cut off too much, or cut it uneven. I DID mess up a bit, but would have done better if took my time - where I cut too much, I was able to stretch it out (probably better/tighter). Whether or not if ergonomic, it's easy to hold it firm so it doesn't wander when cutting. Blade held up too.. can switch it around and use 4 cutting edges. If doing carpet, buy one of these.

One of the Best!
Absolutly LOVE this knift. I never a fan of the big non-folding ones as I always had a tendency to put my hand into a tool box and cut myself. This one is great. Keeps my fingers safe. The ONLY negative thing I could say about it is you HAVE to keep up with the little plastic piece that covers the blade. The blade does not recess deep enough when its folded so if your not careful you could "knick" yourself. However, its far enough down that it wont cause a "deep" wound unless your just trying to cut yourself. Overall, 5 stars as its a great product.

Good Product
This was much easier to use than a utility knife. I like how the blade can be folded for safety.

knife is sharp
I like it , Nice weight , a new design for opening , a fast way to replace blade , that's nice .There is only one thing you be aware off - the shield should always be put back over the blade when done working with it . Don't loose that blade shield . It's a piece of plastic that fits over the blade - I've marked mine with a red marker so I can find it . The reason I say this is because when the blade is in its closed position without the shield there is an area where it could cut you .(see photo's) I'm happy with it , be safe .
