Perfect for the dorm!
We bought this on the recommendation of other college students. It perfect to keep things secure in the dorms when doors stay open. It fits wallet, keys, prescription bottles, and more. Easy to program and attach

Good for light-duty applications
This is a useful storage box that's worth the price, but it's necessary to know what you are and aren't getting. One possible area of concern is that you don't have fire protection with this because there aren't air-tight seals and it's not insulated. So, this might not be the best choice for storage of irreplaceable documents.Security-wise, the keypad operated electronic lock system is easy to program with your own code and works well. You also are provided with two keys that allow you to open the box without the code if you forget it or if the 4 AA batteries that power the electronic locking mechanism should run down. It could be said that the locking system is not the most secure because there seems to be a lot of plastic in it, but the thing about that is the box itself could probably be pried open in less than a minute with a sturdy screwdriver, so it doesn't really make sense to include a bank-vault level lock. And, given the size of this box someone could just pick it up and take it. You can somewhat prevent that with the cable that is provided with this box, allowing you to secure it to something solid. The best use for this product is to keep personal valuables in a place where you can easily access them yet where random people are not just going to be able pick them up and mess around with them. I'm thinking of a phone or tablet, personal items in your desk at work, medications that you want to keep people from rifling through, documents you want to keep private, etc.So, all in all, this storage safe does have some good uses and I'm glad I got it. But I would also be interested in a model that's roughly the same size but a little heavier-built to give it some fire protection and to make it harder to break open.

Great little safe!
This is a great little safe. I bought it to keep my medications out of reach. It's definitely not built to stand up to a heavy assault, but compared to some of the other safes I looked at (where they had external hinges that could be easily compromised, etc.), this one seems the most secure. This is a great size to lock up under my sink, with the tether wrapped around the plumbing. Yes - someone could remove the plumbing to take the little safe, but I wasn't worried about that so much as easy removal or tampering. The safe would be a perfect fit under a car seat also, but is a bit big to try to travel with it - I wouldn't try to pack it in my suitcase to take along on a trip or anything. Overall a great little safe.

It’s not a safe. More like locked drawer
This thing does what it’s supposed to - deter people from taking your stuff that would otherwise be easy to take. Don’t think for a second this is a safe. It is not.Easy to use, two ways to open and a decent length steel cable. And varieties of colors, to boot.

This is a flimsy tin can, piece of junk
I strongly recommend against buying this product - it is a flimsy tin can that could be smashed open in a moment on any hard surface. The plastic lock mechanism is like a child's toy lock, and has the same feel as a child's toy. Waste of money.

Blue Sentry Safe
When I found this safe on Amazon it was a steal. Most of these safes sold at Wal-Mart or Fred Meyers, etc... are about $40-$50 this safe was $21 and the shipping was free. It does need batteries though. Other than that it works great. It does exactly what it says it is going to. I saw on some of the other reviews that their safe did not come with instructions, mine did, but it was really easy to set it up it took no more then 5 minutes tops! I also like that it has keys and the cable cord is removable.

A cheap lockbox
Cant expect much for the price, but man, this thing is super cheap quality. Lots of plastic and totally unrefined. If your goal is to just keep honest people honest then its likely fine, but anyone with a harbor freight screw driver can pry this thing open in quite literally just a few seconds. If you ever lose your combo or the keys, just give it your 8 year old kid and he should be able to figure out a way into it. Or throw it on the ground.

LockBox for meds
A little confusing to set up at first but great to use as a meds lock box for my son in the dorm. Fits in desk drawer. Has a combo and backup key. Can be tethered to the desk or other furniture. Sturdy.
