Extracted a difficult, sheared hardened bolt
While replacing a car battery, I had mistakenly threaded an inch bolt into a metric battery clamp-hold down on our Lincoln and I sheared off the bolt head. The bolt was rather deeply in place so I was dubious that the bolt could be extracted and I had never before extracted a sheared off screw or bolt. In fact, this bolt did prove to be quite difficult to remove- but with some patience and several attempts, I got the bolt extracted. I do not own a drill press- so I had to use a hand held drill. Try as I might the cavity shaping bits were not capable of biting into the steel bolt, so I had to resort to the drill bit to create a pilot hole. That drill bit was a must have. With the drill bit and using Mobil 1 as a lubricant for all of my drilling, I was able to get a pilot hole started for the shaping bit. However, because I was doing this by eye and hand, the shaping bit created a cavity too large for the designated extractor bit and I had to move up a size on the cavity bit. My first effort resulted in a fail, the extractor bit (hammered firmly) locked into the bolt, but it would not hold when the wrench was applied to it. So I drilled a deeper pilot hole and again moved up a size for the cavity bit. My second attempt, similarly failed and like the first, I needed to move up to the next size extractor bit because my hand held drill made a cavity too large for the corresponding extraction bit. My third and final attempt, I managed to extract the bolt. Just as in the first two attempts, I drilled the pilot hole deeper (in fact managed to get the hole drilled through the entire length of the bolt), drilled the cavity and used the next size up extractor bit. This would have been my last effort because by this time my extractor bit was as large as the bolt could possibly have handled. I give this product 5 stars- the kit was reasonably priced and the instructions were straight forward and while it did not work with the first two extractor bits, it did eventually do the job with the third extractor bit. The remants of the stubborn ectracted bolt are now so firmly adhered to the extractor bit I seriously doubt I will be able to reuse that bit.

Not up to the task.
I bought this set to extract stuck set screws. You might expect that these bits would be able to tolerate the torque exerted in trying to get stuck set screws to come unstuck.Surprise! Snapped right off, so now it's stuck in my stuck set screw. "That sure can't be right", I sez to myself, so I try it again on my other sink, with some WD40 and a new bit, annnnd ... SNAP! Same result. D'OH!Now I can't access the set screws, and can't drill them out because ... yep, this metal is really hard. Hard and brittle -- the wrong metallurgy for these tools. Now I'm going to have to replace the faucet sets as my next best option.DO NOT BUY.

It works!!!
I have spent years drilling out stripped screws. It didn’t give me the best result because I had to make the hole that much larger.I thought there’s got to be something for this out there.I stripped a Phillips wood screw on my chair and cussed up a storm. I had enough!!! I checked and saw this and bought it. It was amazing how well it worked and I didn’t damage my chair. I now have a few other projects I’ve been putting off. I would highly recommend this product.

Worked for Steam Deck m1.6x5.8mm screw
Just what I needed to remove a badly stripped screw from the Steam Deck without damaging it during an SSD upgrade. Ex10 and Dr10 work very well in extracting the very tiny screw. Steam Deck's screws stripped way too easily, and this was a lifesaver. I was worried it would break but it came out after a little patience.

Heavy duty
While waiting for this set to arrive, I kept working with the stripped screws and I got them removed before set arrived. It looks like a very nice set, assorted sizes, heavy duty, just what I needed for the tool box.
