Game of Thrones Daenerys Targaryen by ThreeZero
My package came in quick! Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow are my main favorite characters in the Game of Thrones, so as I opened the box to look at the figurine, I thought I was going to be picky and complain due to watching youtube mix with negative and positive reviews. However, I love this figurine. The figurine may not be 100% to others, but to me, it's very close to 100%. You may never find a very close look alike of Daenerys. I did not regret buying this figurine!

Beautiful Facial Detail
I would have given this doll a 5 star, but I am somewhat displeased with her boots/feet. Her boots are 2 part and similar to bratz feet. Also the chest piece is very difficult to put on. If you're not planning to change her clothes she's fine. Amazing realistic face/head mold.

The Essential Daenerys
I confess to being mystified over threezero’s GOT action figure production. Looking at the characters released thus far, it would appear they have 2 different companies producing figures (or possibly just the figure’s heads). I’ve posted photos of 3 of my threezero, GOT figures for a visual comparison. The Daenerys figure is the 2nd out of 3 (so far) that they’ve produced in the series that has rooted hair. The other 2 are The Hound & Arya. The rooted hair is a HUGE plus and adds a lot to the look of the figures. IMO giving the figures plastic molded hair is just lazy and it cheapens their look. I’m guessing that because Dani has such long flowing hair in the show, they decided to spring for “real” hair. She also wears braids so this allows the factory hair to be braided, again adding more realism to the figure.Daenerys head is much more realistic looking that most of the previous GOT figures produced so far (the Jon Snow head is so bad, I’ve replaced mine with a different Jon Snow sculpt). They’ve given Dani “glass” eyes rather than painted on eyes and that gives her a drastically different look. Daenerys has bare arms (unlike the other figures) and they’ve covered her jointed arms with a type of soft, rubbery “skin” sleeve. This way you don’t see any hinged or ball jointed elbows. She’s got ball jointed wrists, so the “skin sleeve” ends at her wrist and this ball joint is somewhat visible where her hands snaps over the joint at her wrist. Because of this style joint, her wrists are a bit bulkier than they would be if the had a hinge style joint. The ball joint does give her a much fuller range of motion with her hands than a hinge style joint would. That’s important for posing your figure as are the extra sets of hands that comes with this figure. Her outfit looks accurate and well done, although I wish she’d come standard with all 3 baby dragons. The regular set only comes with Drogon, if you want all 3 baby dragons, you’ll have to pay extra for the deluxe set. Personally I think the figures should come with all possible extras instead of this “deluxe” set crap for additional money. It seems petty to charge more for a couple of extras that given the price they’re charging, should come with each figure automatically.I feel like they did a decent job with the Daenerys figure, capturing her likeness in appearance and costume. I absolutely wish they had included her phenomenal fur coat that she wore when going to rescue the boys fighting the white walkers (that would have been crazy cool).I’m not certain who they have producing the GOT action figures, but the Hound, Daenerys and Arya dolls all appear to have a radically different quality when you compare them to the other dolls produced this far in the series. It seems like these 3 dolls I mentioned have been made with more realistic features including the eyes and hair. All of the figures in threezero’s Game of Thrones series say they’re 1/6 scale, but in reality they’re actually a bit smaller than that. If you stand any of the GOT figures next to a Barbie doll (12”) you’ll find the GOT figures to be shorter by a bit. Daenerys is a small woman on the show, so her doll looks exceptionally petite to me. All in all I find her to be a good value at retail price and absolutely essential to ANY Game of Thrones figure collection.
