Excellent
I bought this for my son recently, and it hasn't changed much in 33 years! Still excellent and very good quality for it's price (£39.99). Only noteworthy improvement is that the slideable T-square has clips on both ends (this only applies horizontally in landscape orientation).Don't be put off by the current pictures shown on the Amazon website. The portrait (plan) view omits the clip on the end of the T-square, whereas the isometric"ish" view shows it. Mine certainly has clips on both ends. Another mistake is that the picture of the included set-square has a protractor stencil slot shown. Thankfully, it doesn't have that (which in my experience is a waste of time). The supplied set-square is perfect for 90 and 45 degree lines, which is all it should be used for. You need a separate adjustable set-square, a separate protractor, and a compass to use a drawing board effectively for engineering drawings!(BTW - Don't buy the "Rotring Rapid Adjustment Compass" - see my other review!)

Quality product
Pros:Item was quickly dispatched and well packaged, I received this baby 2 days later :DGood material, doesn't look as flimsy as I expected.Great working space. Small enough to put on a small table but big enough to work around with. But this is depend on each person, I suppose (I use this to work on comic, 11x17inches paper)Easy to use.Highly practical. It's a great tool for details and will save lot of time drawing different lines. (It helps me do the border much faster)Cons:Not very portable. The titler doesn't slip, but they can fall off the slot if not carefulOverall, despite minor drawback, I think it worth the money. Take good care of it and it will help you along the way a lot too.

45 degrees, as pictured
The drawing board overhangs the edge of a table, as pictured, with four angles of 0 (flat), 15, 30 and what seems around 40 degrees as pitch options. The quality is good and at the highest pitch is comfortable for detailed close work when seated. There is a small amount of play in the horizontal rule if you apply any force on it, but that just requires a little delicacy in how you use it. It ships with the Rotring S0213680 Drawing Head (not the vertical rule as pictured) which can be adjusted to any angle (and has defined 'presets' every 15 degrees) from 0 through 90. The drawing head is okay but not brilliant - I'm not sure I'll use it much, but it's nice to have included all the same.In all, it's a nice piece of kit and to me seems worthy of more stars than the previous reviewer suggests.

Good quality, very easy to use.
I am learning interior design skills and it is very easy to use, precise. I did not think it would be so good, but now that I tried, it is so important to have it when doing my precise plans. Of course later I will need a professional one, but for now this is so fantastic. It comes with the box so you do not need to worry if it will brake or get ruined, it is well protected. You can put inside even your block note to keep together. Very happy about my purchase. Thank you.

Very disappointing
Used it exactly 5 times. It doesn’t slide properly anymore and now the mechanism just stopped working.Absolutely not expected from Rotring.Paid double for the name and got a poor quality

Excellent A3 drawing board
I had a previous model of this board and have been happy with it for years. Time to replace I thought, things must have moved on. Indeed they have. I have used it on a project already and the accuracy is spot on. Wherever the slide is locked it is accurate and being able to use it on both sides of the board saves much time. In short it is a joy to use and much faster than my old Rapid.

Good for designers and graphic art
I used to use a drawing board like this about 20 years ago, when I first started working as a kitchen designer, but modern technology came along and I used CAD exclusively.Having retired, but still needing to plan, I bought a new Rotring drawing board. It has been excellent. Easy to use, with an arm that can move, but also be fixed in place. I’m no longer constrained by models in a program, but can draw in any scale I choose, and anything I can draw is possible!I couldn’t recommend this too highly.

Good quality of manufacture but needs instructions
The drawing board itself is of very high quality and I would rate it as a 5 star product if the manufacturer had included some instructions with it. Unfortunately there aren't any. Not many instructions are needed with a drawing board like this but there are some scale markings that are unexplained and some illustration of how to use the protractor integrated into the ruler would have been helpful. I will eventually work all this out for myself and I would still recommend the product but a manufacturer seeking to achieve excellence could go a little further than this. A link to a video demonstrating its use would be sufficient.
