Hi, only the 60L backpack is included in the package, other smaller bags need to be purchased separately.

Q: Am backpacking for 3 months round Sth America (with sleeping back & mat) will this be large enough?

It really depends on how light you’re travelling. Simple cook set up (messtins & hexiburner) or eating out only no worries. If you’re the kid of person who wants luxuries, (a wash kit the size of a carry on) no. You could use string/straps to attach your sleeping system to the bag, (wrap in waterproofing, eg black bin bag), to increase bag space.

Q: How water resistant is the bag?

Resistant to rain but I wouldn't put it in water. Regardless, I scotch guard (spray) all my kit especially in and around the zipper area and I've never had any seapage as yet. If you're planning in putting it into water, then I would recommend you pack the internal compartment/s with a stuff sack. "Loop" offer a 5(£9)/13(£10)/20(£12) & 35L(£15) stuff sacks very good quality and reliable. I use them all the time(hence the pricing if you buy them online. I guess another alternative would be to put the rucksack into a stuff bag but I dont know off hand of anybody doing one larger than the 35L.
