Umbra Twilight Curtain Rod Set – Wrap Around Design Ideal for Blackout or Room Darkening Panels, 28 to 48 Inches, Nickel

We got these for our room darkening curtains since I work 3rd shift. These are great! They look pretty thin (even when you put them up on the wall), but they are actually quite sturdy. I love the 'wrap around' idea of them for our curtains!

Just what I wanted and easy to install. I'm a 74 year old woman and installed these with a electric drill and screw driver, so not complicated at all.

I bought these curtain rods about 1.5 years ago, and there's a lot I like about them: they're easy to install, they wrap around to allow better light filtration and insulation, the nickel finish is durable, you don't have to fiddle with screws to take your curtains off to wash them because the design of these curtain rods makes that process super simple - just lift the end off the bracket and remove curtains with grommets, or twist the rod off the end to remove pocket curtains.What I don't like: the manufacturer is inconsistent about including the plastic piece that goes in the middle between the two parts of the rod that slide into each other. That omission makes pulling the curtains open and close every day a bit tricky since the curtains snag on the larger metal rod every time they cross that part of it. With grommet curtains, that creates an inconvenience. With pocket curtains, it would eventually tear them.I'd also suggest that when measuring your windows to add 2" to the width of your window so that you can mount these on the studs which are usually centered 1" outside the window on each side, if you want to be able to block all light with your curtains. I made the mistake of ordering the exact 48" window size, and mounting the brackets on the studs at their 50" width, has caused a dip in the rod which is unattractive and a bit annoying. Plus, the lack of plastic buffer between the two rods makes the dip even more evident. I ended up inserting a 1/2" dowel into the rods to help straighten them. The pics I've included have the temporary curtains I used for insulation until I found the curtains I wanted.

These are great wraparound rods for room darkening curtains. They really help to seal the gaps!

After buying other brands that didn't work and was horrible to put together, I finally found this ones. The best option, and so easy to put together and to take them apart to change courtines. The best.
