Amazing educational toy — Orboot Explorer makes geography fun
The media could not be loaded. We absolutely love the Orboot Explorer interactive globe! My 6-year-old is obsessed with discovering new countries, animals, and famous landmarks. The AR features are super cool and make learning feel like an adventure. He especially enjoys using the magic stylus to unlock facts and complete fun quests on the tablet. It keeps him engaged for hours — and the best part is, he’s actually learning while playing. The 720° rotation, constellation mode, and zap-on panels add even more excitement. If you’re looking for an educational toy that really delivers — this is it!

Engaging educational product
I found it difficult to line my phone with the image on the globe. Would my grandson get frustrated and give up? Fortunately my grandson is made of sturdier stuff. I gave it to him three years ago and he still uses it. He particularly liked monuments around the world and often will talk about the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Pyramids, etc. He also likes the animals, social customs and others I can no longer remember (but he can.) Engaging educational device. Highly recommend.

Pros and Cons
Bought this to help my 5 year old learn geography. Here are my thoughts after using it for several months:Pros:- Interactive app brings globe to life - The AR component makes learning about animals, culture, and geography fun through games, sounds, and interactive elements. My kids are captivated.- Appealing visuals - The illustrated animals and environments on the globe look great and draw the kids in. - Vibrant colors and cute creatures get their attention.- Expansive content - With so many places and animals to explore, there is a ton of information for them to discover. Enough to keep them learning for months.- Games reinforce lessons - Activities like feeding animals their preferred foods reinforce what they learn about habitats and diets. Very clever.- Passport sticker book - The included passport and stickers encourage them to engage and "travel" to different places. A creative bonus.- Works for range of ages - Older kids get more from the detailed content. Versatile for siblings.Cons:- App can be glitchy - We've encountered some tech issues getting it to sync properly, especially in low light. When it works, it works wonderfully.- Typos and errors - I've noticed some spelling and grammar errors in the app content. Needs a bit better proofing.- Country boundaries not shown - The globe itself is missing country lines. Would be nice to toggle those on via the app for context.Overall, the Orboot AR globe was a decent educational toy buy. The integrated app makes interacting with the globe fun and dynamic. I would recommend this educational toy. Hope this helps.

Great product, despite some negative reviews out there.
This project has a strange mixing of extreme positive and negative reviews, particularly recently. Now, some of those negative reviews are due to people who are complaining without buying it because they say the earth is flat... so if that's your viewpoint, let's just say you shouldn't buy a globe but shouldn't be reviewing one either. Go review a map or something. But those aside, there are still some really negative reviews, which sometimes makes me skeptical of whether the positive reviews are real or if those people got it for free, etc.As a result, I was skeptical when I bought this, but my verdict is that I love it. And more importantly, our 6 year old daughter does. I know several reviewers have complained about the buggy app, so I think it may not work on as many different phones and operating systems as Shifu claims. I know I tried to install it on my daughter's "phone" (and yes, my 6 year old daughter has a phone but it's our old iPhone 6 with the SIM card removed that just has music and education apps installed on it), the app did NOT work correctly, even though the phone is running the current iOS version. However, I put it on my iPhone 8 and had NO issues finding it, installing it or using it. Considering our 6 year old can and does use my phone by herself to use and learn about various places around the globe, it seems to be designed to work pretty easily for most people. So I highly recommend it. I was a little skeptical about the whole "globe with no countries" thing that I've also seen some people complain about. I'm definitely not into new-age education (in fact I'm a college business professor), but I don't have a problem with it. I think the globe would be too busy if it had all the country lines AND the pictures on it designed to captivate kids attention. And when you use the app to learn about a place, you can see country flags and whatnot. Maybe in a future version it can show you the country boundaries if you want to see them, which would be nice.
