Works well for a Dell XPS 420
Worked well for my Dell XPS 420. Cables aren't as long as the Dell unit as it has lengths specifically for the BTX motherboard and cable routing. The Dell Motherboard is BTX, which is basically a mirror image of ATX, the expansion slots are on the right side of the motherboard instead of the left side.Be aware that the CPU power cable is one solid 8-pin connector that cannot be separated into two 4-pin connectors. The 28-pin ATX power cable is sleeved. The accessory power cables are not sleeved. This works in my favor as some of the areas that the cable needs to route through are a tad small. I did use small wire ties to keep the individual wires for each cable organized. Overall, this was a plus for me but it might not be for others.

Always a great pickup
I’ve used this unit a few times. It’s An always decent and reliable power supply for budget oriented builds. Tier c on power supply tier list. This is a great pairing for any 250w graphics cards and ryzen 5 cpus. It runs quiet as I haven’t noticed the noise. Clean look and black cables. Highly Recommend.

Outstanding
This is an excellent power supply. It was easy to install. I had never heard of this brand. I was surprised at how well it is operating. The cables that it came with are excellent and good to have.

Trusted power supply, runs quietly, and I recommend.
I've been running this power supply for over a year now. It's quiet, and works flawless. It's being used in a modern gaming build, and being used almost daily. Very happy with the purchase. I will absolutely buy another one for my next build.

Thanks MSi and Amazon.
Solid. Not a space hog. QUIET fan. Sturdy plugs that properly fit and remain connected. Good warranty from a long-trusted manufacturer.Suggestion: If a dead power supply is suspected there are plenty of good tips for dealing with that online. Tips are usually the same. Unfortunately the best tip is usually the last but should be the first. Turn supply power switch off and best to also unplug. Unplug the suspect supply's big 24 pin plug from the motherboard. Jump two - just two - connectors in the big plug (shown well in various tips). Leave big plug loose. Plug supply back in and switch on. Supply fan should start. If not most likely a dead supply.

Great Budget PSU if you have the space!
Non-modular, so it takes up a lot of space, the connectors are firm and ugly, and the fan is relatively loud. However, for $50, its a great PSU that wont blow up.

Bought two - DOA
To begin, I've bought two of these while they were on sale.Great, right? No.So, when i bought the *first* psu available, I plugged it into the motherboard, confirmed if the 24 pin connector was connected and.. switch flip!Nothing.Okay, i decided to spare the time and return the psu, wanting to give MSI the benefit of the doubt. So once i got my refund, i bought another 'new' psu and inserted into my pc. Rinse and repeat, same process and...Nothing again? At that point, im not too sure if its the motherboard itself, or the psu, because i haven't heard either one spin on. Signaling its activation whatsoever. And here I am, wondering: "Why in the world did i get two defects at once"?At this point, im frustrated at having to return either item twice only to be disappointed. Maybe its my luck, or horrible quality control. Either way, I'm pretty sad as a result. Thanks, MSI.**UPDATE**So, turns out, its the motherboard that isn't working. I've done the paperclip method - and to my surprise, it works. So now, i have to figure out what else is going on.
