I bought this in conjunction with a 9v charger to power a Tandy 1100FD laptop, which requires center pin negative, a rarity by today's standards. Connected the polarity reverse cable to the AC adapter, and then all of that to the Tandy. Powered it on and it works perfectly. No fire or smoke here. High quality adapter for use with 9v adapter. Also short as well so it blends in the the ac cable. Easy to install.

Dislikes: noneThis Polarity Reversal Cord was purchased due to I have some items that are center negative, but come to find out the items in question weren't the issue and the polarity wasn't the issue. The issue, which is entirely my fault was I had purchased the wrong adapter for the job, I purchased a "switching adapter", when what I really need for these specific items was a REGULATED power adapter. Again, my fault for buying the wrong adapter for these small power tools and train accessories that need a regulated power supply.Fortunately, I also have a lot of other items that the switching adapter can still be used with, so it was still a good investment for me.However, since I really didn't need the polarity reversal cord, I did end up cutting it in two, therefore being able to attach the end that mates with the other Soulbay connectors on an adapter that I can use to recharge a lot of my other rechargeable items that use the same type of 6V regulated charging adapter, the original end went bad, so this will now give me an option by splicing the cord to the charging adapter that connects with all the Soulbay tips, so I can use it to recharge those items that don't use USB style recharging cables or ports.So even though I couldn't use the cable as is, it has been modified and dedicated for use with those items and the adapter that is used to recharge them that I couldn't recharge until now. So, buying this cable was still a win-win in my situation.

Purchased to convert the power signal from a 1Spot going into my Volca. Still requires a barrel adapter, but this did the trick.

This is a simple polarity converter that seems nicely built. It worked exactly as I intended to and prevented me from having to purchase another power supply for just one device. So happy with this purchase!

At first I didn’t even think I would need this, I was running two guitar pedals off of a rechargeable power supply and figured that would be good enough. But once everything was all plugged in...they didn’t power up. I added this to the signal chain, all was fixed. I’m quite happy for this ‘just in case’ purchase. Well made and durable as well.

SoulBay 5.5 x 2.1mm Jack Reverse Polarity Converter CableI purchased a pedal-board switcher from Germany. Unfortunately the power source came with a European power plug without an US adapter. Between the options of buying an adapter and a comparable power adapter I chose both. With the available power adapters, they were all center-positive. This reverse polarity adapter worked perfectly.
