Used for livewell drain
Not sure what these are made for but I used it to add a boat live well drain. Works great.

Above-ground pool upgrade
I added a skimmer to my above-ground pool and increased the original outlet size from 1" to 1.5". I used this for the inside of the second outlet to prevent injury or drowning if one of the kids gets too close.I've very happy with the quality and function.

Used as a primary drain for a biological pond filte
When installed this product traps all large debris, preventing it's return to the pond. Filter media may be added to trap ALL debris however, with the filter setup I have extra filtering is not necessary.

Description wrong, slip on not threaded
This product is made well, But product sent twice was for 1.5” slip on type, NOT as described as the 1.5” threaded type we needed. Amazon and seller need to get product in bag to match label on bag!

Great for RDWC return line
Awesome! They screw right into my slip by female 1.50 bulkhead connectors..I use these to catch debris for RDWC return lines..Fits: cpr aquatic female threads on their 1.50 pvc slip x female bulkheads.

Restricts flow rate
Everything looks good, but it severely restricts the flow rate of 1.5" piping. You'll need to oversize this device, taking more space with the reducer than saved with this unless you can put the piping in a space that doesn't matter).
