Small foam tu e to stuff in crack. Saved lots of cement caulk and let the caulk level instead of getting sucked into the crack.

Does the job, fills the cracks. Very pleased with result.

No air gaps after install

This worked just fine for the cracks in the concrete however for the price it’s easy enough to take any piece of foam from packaging and cut it into strips. Nothing special about this and too expensive for what it actually is.

I had a small gap between the house and the back concrete patio that water could get into. This strip was the first step, and worked perfectly by filling the gap. I then followed up by using a caulk designed for sealing exterior concrete. Without this foam backer rod, the caulk would have just disappeared into the abyss. With the rod, it gave the caulk somewhere to properly pool and do its job.

My rubber door seal was getting compressed and daylight was starting to show thru the crack so I got this to stuff behind the seal and it plumped it up perfectly. No more daylight around door
