It’s working great. I wanted to transfer a number of files from a thumb drive to iCloud. I used the adapter to connect the regular USB thumb drive to the USB-C port on my iPad Mini. Then I opened the Files App on my iPad. From there it wasy to move all the files into one my iCloud folders.One note: My iPad has a thick cover and I had to remove it in order to connect to the USB port. Not a big problem and I wouldn’t deduct points for it. In fact, it was a good thing because I found out how dirty my iPad was beneath that case.

I decided to make a move to Mac from windows since I am embedded within the ecosystem. I did not want to give up my Logitech keyboard, trackball or Samsung monitor. I used one of these Usb port converters on the front usb-c for my Logitech dongle and one on the back thunderbolt port to hook up the usb hub on my Samsung monitor. They work perfectly. They appear to be of decent quality and the ports were “tight” when inserted both make and female ends. These are slightly more expensive than some options but there is a coupon available and the ratings are high. In my mind these represent a good value for the money. I tested using one to connect by phone and the phone charges the battery and passed data. I then used one with my iPad with a usb Ethernet adapter and Ethernet to OBD cable and it worked to communicate with my car. You should have no fear buying these.

Many older devices and drives are not compatible with devices and chargers that only have C ports. Apple changing their ports is annoying. I still use older charging plugs and cords. This adapter makes it possible to continue to use them. I haven't had any problems using these with older flash drives while moving data and from my newer MacBook Air that doesn't have an older USB port. Great solution.

I was pleasantly surprised that the color of the adapter matched my starlight computer perfectly.Functionality it was easy to plug into all my devices. The heat level matched my devises. I thought the adapter was high quality and I did not notice any lag time in functionality.I recommend this product.I wish all manufacturers would offer the starlight color.

Works well. Only thing is having to remove safety casing to plug into phone; a little too short plug in.

This actually works pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised. I've been using it for about 6 months and it has not failed me. It fits perfectly and the connectivity is great. Highly recommend. Ot's definitely worth your money.

I have an external drive that I ordered before I had my Mac and only used with an old Asus laptop that has the older type USB ports. So when I needed to retrieve files from the external drive, of course I needed an adapter to plug in to my Mac so I could plug in the USB (or USB-A I think it is called).It can be confusing with all the USB A, USB C, Lightning, blah blah blah. So, USB (USB-A) is the larger 'plug' that a lot of electronics use or used but Mac - at least the Macs of the years I've had them - don't have those larger USB plugs but instead use USB-C, the smaller newer plugs that MACs come with.There's some videos and images up there where you can see how it works. I have a 2024 Mac and the little plug fits into my Mac, and the old USB from my external drive fits in the other side. That is all I needed to know and all I wanted.My files transferred without any problems - quickly and easily.They are a small enough size for ease of storage. You can keep them in the little box they came in, nestled in the foam--The box the two drives came in fits in the palm of my hand and I have small hands -just to give you an idea of how tiny they are.The adapter quality seems good to me - they look durable; not flimsy at all. I'm happy with my order. And, what a relief to be able to move files to my Mac so I could finally give away the old heavy but well used Asus.
