Great travel kettle with no plastic!
My wife and I love this kettle! We travel often in Europe and SE Asia and we need a kettle every day for coffee and tea. We didn't want a kettle that uses plastic or silicone in order to avoid microplastics. This kettle is easy to clean, feels like a sturdy build with good materials, and it is very packable. It boils water really fast! It's also nice that we can bring hot water with us during the day since it also acts as a thermos and keeps water hot.The Nicewell customer service is also amazing and easy to contact (surprisingly!). We worked with Jessica who provided timely assistance.

Worked perfectly in the EU.
I just used this kettle in Ireland and it worked perfectly. I didn't need to use an outlet adapter since our hotel had a US 3 prong outlet for some reason. It worked exactly as expected, and it was very nice to be able to heat my coffee water to my preferred temperature of 194 degrees. It held up well during travel, and was easy to pack. It also works well in the US. Dual voltage capability is very nice. Highly recommend.

Danger of explosive steam burns if set to temperature higher than local water boiling point
Recommend: not use at 212F setting unless you actually live at sea level. Filled 2/3 full according to instructions. Water superheated, suddenly boiled, and ejected lid creating a steam explosion and burning my left forearm (I was 3 ft away) requiring a trip to hospital.(EDIT: Keep in mind that water boils at lower temperatures with increasing elevation. I’m in Santa Fe at 7200 ft. Water boils around 197F here.) If you are at 7200 ft use the 194F setting. The instructions are conflicting. One picture says don’t use it at altitudes, period. Another says 2/3 full with lid off, then another Q/A maintains if at altitude manually turn off power when it boils. Problem is, you can’t see it boil with lid on, and it can superheat (smooth interior) meaning the water is actually above the boiling point, and jostling to pic up the kettle can trigger rapid boiling and steam explosion. I’d say this is an accident waiting to happen. Not recommended UNLESS you are very attentive to the danger of superheating and to keep the setting below the local boiling point of water.EDIT: manufacturer was very helpful and reached out to help. I recommend making caution and guidance about setting temp for use at higher elevation.

Great for making tea on the go when traveling!
Perfect for travel, not too heavy and very easy to use. I would recommend to always boil the water with the lid off for sure and the steam doesn't really come off the top, the first time I used it I didn't even notice the water boiled because there wasn't any steam coming off, but it was definitely hot and boiling. Perfect for making tea when traveling, the only con is that the electric cord is kinda big but still easy to pack.

SO VERY PRACTICAL
As a new grandma I am using it for a quick bottle which helps with the guessing game if temp is right or not.I am very happy and love the fact that it only takes little space whether it is on the go,stored away or on the counter .

Its a game changer!
I love this item! I bring it on every trip so I can enjoy coffee in my hotel room, especially since many hotels no longer provide coffee makers. It’s quick, easy to use, and convenient. I’ve even used it on a cruise ship! Since it only heats enough water for one cup, it shuts off right after, making it safe and convenient for travel.

nice to have
will definitely be a game changer for my travels and hotel stays - i can definitely hook myself up with instant coffee or tea once i get to my room - a lot of hotels these days does not even have a coffee maker and even if they do, it is either dirty or not working - water heats up within 7 mins and if covered could retain it for up to 3 hours - and lukewarm to about 6. It is also easy to fit into my lagguage - however, i do feel the amount of water it carries is not enough for me😇

Perfect for coffee travel
Worked great, stays around 300-297 watts pulled. Did experience some hot water steam shot out when i opened it. Something to be aware of next time use something to protect my hand when opening. Overall pleasantly surprised , cord is not stiff like some stated and its a nice small size. The cord is three prong cord which I don’t think is an issue but if you only had 2 prong outlet could be an issue without an adapter.Worked well not huge but big enough to satisfy a cup of tea or coffee when traveling.Bought for overseas trips and to make coffee in airports with my portable coffee set up.Like I don’t need a dc adapter like my GoSun kettle and it gives truly hot water.
