Modern Tech for My Tundra: A Seamless Upgrade That Delivers
I recently upgraded my 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 5GWiFi Upgrade Car Stereo Radio, and it’s been a total game-changer—especially since the easy, plug-and-play install took less than an hour. The touchscreen looks like it's straight from the factory, and the wireless Apple CarPlay works flawlessly whenever I get in the truck. Bluetooth connects instantly and works like a charm. I’ve used the GPS navigation on longer drives and it’s reliable without freezing or dropping signal. I also love that it retains my reverse camera and OEM wiring—no wiring headaches. It's not without a few minor quirks—some menus could look a bit sleeker—but none of them have impacted my overall experience. This stereo has made my older Tundra feel modern, high-tech, and far more fun to drive.

Device is buggy.
Worked great at first. After a few days it stopped connecting to my phone, became slow and laggy. Went on a two hour trip and it bugged out and froze after an hour and a half. Pulled over and tried to restart it but it that didn’t fix it. Had to let it sit over night. Looks great, it’s a cool concept but it doesn’t function well. Installation is easy but it’s not supported well. It just clips into the dash, no bolts or screws to hold it in.

New Tricks
Installed this in my 2012 Tundra and wow—it made my old truck feel way newer. CarPlay connects without any wires (yes, finally), the touchscreen is big and responsive, and GPS actually works without freezing mid-drive. Bluetooth pairs quick, sound quality is solid, and it looks like it came stock once it’s in. Plus, having steering wheel control compatibility was a must for me, and this handled it no problem.

Nice unit,but......
OEM reverse camera needs to be hardwired, not a simple plug and play as the description implies.
