It does actually work surprisingly enough
Well a kitchen gadget that actually does what it says it will do, surprising but true. For decades I have been manually sharpening all our knives, finally it is becoming way too much hassle so I thought I would try this gadget. The suction is excellent (on a flat surface) so on granite it is great, very stable. It takes a few minutes to get used to but overall the results are excellent. It is important to be smooth with not too much pressure as you draw the blade through the 'V' of the sharpening blades but you soon get the right feel for what you are doing and after that it's absolutely fine.Well worth the money so far.

Kinda works
It works but not really the ideal angle for my decent German Wusthof knife set.Looks like it will wear out quickly...

Great product
Love this - sharpened all my kitchen knives to a perfect edge. Takes up a tiny space on the workbench - I love it and I wish I had bought this years and years ago.

Great knife sharpener
Great sharpener, easy to use needs to be stuck o1n smooth surface. With new materials it could stick anywhere.

Works well
Not sure how these would work on totally blunt knives - I hone mine with 1000-3000 stones first but for quickly restoring a keen edge every couple of weeks these are brilliant.
